A Lovable alternative built for business websites

Lovable is a full stack AI development platform: you chat to build websites and web apps with real code, a backend in its cloud, Git sync and shared workspaces, paid in credits. OneCraft Code mode also writes real code, but only for websites: a React Router site with a store, forms, data collections and publishing to your address.

The short verdict

Lovable suits founders and teams building web applications, with authentication, a backend, Git sync and collaboration across a workspace. OneCraft suits a business whose project is a website: Code mode writes and checks the site, and the store, enquiry forms, data collections, custom domain and stats come with it, plus a Sections mode when code is more than you need.

Where Lovable is better

Where OneCraft is different

App builder or website builder

Lovable is a general AI software engineer for web apps. OneCraft Code mode is narrower on purpose: it writes websites, on a known starter, with rules for responsive layout, accessibility, meta tags and reduced motion. A narrower target lets it check more, and it ships the business features a website needs.

What the measured costs look like

In OneCraft, Code mode bills model use at 1 credit per US cent plus 1 credit per build. Ten recorded generations averaged about 14 credits, and chat turns about 4. Lovable bills in its own credits, described on its pricing page; compare by running the same brief in both.

Moving a site across

There is no import of an outside project, since you cannot upload code into OneCraft. Describe the site to the generator, paste the live address under Your existing pages, or give a design reference URL, and the AI writes the site on its own starter.

Who should stay with Lovable

Stay with Lovable if you are building an application with users, logins and a backend, or work in a team with Git. Move if your project is a business website and you want the store, forms, domain and stats ready made.

Questions people ask

Can OneCraft build a web app with logins?

No. Code mode produces static websites: there is no server code and no visitor accounts. Data collections can show public content and accept visitor submissions, and the store handles checkout through Stripe, but anything needing user logins belongs in an app platform such as Lovable.

Do I own the code OneCraft writes?

You can download a zip of the project at any time and run or host it elsewhere; check the terms for the details. The project depends on open source packages under their own licences, listed in its package file, as with any React project.

Is OneCraft cheaper than Lovable?

It depends on use. OneCraft measured Code mode generations at about 14 credits and chat turns at about 4, at 1 credit per US cent plus builds, on top of a plan from $8 a month. Lovable plans and credits are on its pricing page.

Can I edit the files myself in OneCraft?

Not in the builder; files are read only and changes go through the AI chat, which builds and checks each one. You can download the zip and work on it elsewhere, but those changes do not sync back, so pick one way of working for each project and stick to it.

Does OneCraft deploy to my domain?

Yes. Publishing puts a green build live at your onecraft.live address, and on a paid plan you can connect a custom domain with a TXT and a CNAME record and a managed certificate is issued for you. Each publish is kept as a version, so a bad change can be rolled back from the history.
