A Square Online alternative for sellers who use Stripe
Square Online, now called Square websites, builds an online store tied to Square point of sale, with shared inventory, customer accounts, pickup, local delivery, loyalty, gift cards and marketing. OneCraft Sites builds an AI written website with a store paid through Stripe Checkout into your own account.

The short verdict
Square suits a business that already uses Square point of sale and wants one inventory, one customer directory, loyalty and gift cards across the counter and the website. OneCraft suits an online first seller or a cafe that takes pickup orders through Stripe and wants the AI to write a proper site around the menu or shop.

Where Square is better
One system for counter and website
Square connects online sales to its point of sale, with inventory and customer data across channels. OneCraft is online only, so a cafe or shop that also sells at the counter would track stock in two places.
Loyalty, gift cards and accounts
Square offers loyalty rewards, eGift cards and customer accounts. OneCraft has guest checkout and none of those programmes.
Local delivery and QR ordering
Square lists local delivery with couriers or your own staff and QR code ordering. OneCraft offers pickup and fixed rate shipping only.
Where OneCraft is different
Stripe, on your account
If your payments already run on Stripe, OneCraft checkout uses your connected Stripe account, with payouts and refunds in your Stripe dashboard and a platform fee of 2, 1 or 0.5 percent by plan.
A site written for you
The AI writes the pages around the store or menu, the story, services, FAQ and contact, with a section library that stays readable on phones.
Installs like an app
Store and menu sites can be installed to phone home screens by default, and a paid plan can export a Capacitor app project of the live site for the app stores.
Counter first or online first
Square starts from the counter: the point of sale is the heart and the website extends it. OneCraft starts from the website: the store lives inside a site the AI wrote. A cafe with a busy counter gains a lot from Square shared inventory; a maker who sells online and at a few markets may not need it.
Restaurants and pickup
Both take pickup orders. OneCraft menu sites show dishes as printed columns or photo rows, add Add buttons and an order bar when the store is on, and email the customer when the order is ready. Square adds QR table ordering and delivery options that OneCraft does not have.
Moving across
Export your items from Square to CSV and import them into the OneCraft store, which reads Square layouts and shows a dry run before saving. Connect Stripe in your account settings, add pickup locations or shipping zones, then publish.
Who should stay with Square
Stay with Square if you sell at a counter with Square point of sale, or rely on its loyalty, gift cards, local delivery or QR ordering. Move if you sell online first, use Stripe, and want a better written website around a simpler store.
Questions people ask
Can I use Square payments with OneCraft?
No. The OneCraft store takes payments through Stripe Checkout on your own connected Stripe account only. If you want to keep Square for payments and in person sales, Square websites is the natural fit, because its online store shares the same payments account, inventory and customer directory as your counter.
Can OneCraft import my Square items?
Yes. Export items from Square as CSV and import them in the store; the import recognises Square column layouts, groups variants, and shows a dry run before saving anything. Upload product photos afterwards, since images are not copied, and check prices and stock on a few products before you publish.
Does OneCraft support local delivery?
Not as a courier or driver feature. You can create a shipping zone for your country with a rate named for local delivery, but it cannot be restricted by postcode. Pickup locations work fully, with collection instructions printed in the cart and on the receipt.
Can customers make an account on OneCraft stores?
No. Buyers check out as guests through Stripe Checkout and get an email receipt. The store builds a customer list from paid orders by email, showing orders, total spent and the last order date, for your own use, such as spotting regulars or following up an order question.
Is OneCraft good for a cafe with a counter?
For the website and pickup orders, yes. For counter sales, no: there is no point of sale, so counter and online stock are separate. Many cafes only list ready to order items online, which keeps the two from clashing and avoids selling the last slice twice.
