A Shopify alternative for a small business store
Shopify is a full commerce platform: online store, checkout, point of sale, marketplaces and social selling, shipping labels, email campaigns, reports and thousands of apps. OneCraft Sites adds a smaller store to an AI written website: products, stock, discounts, shipping and Stripe Checkout into your own account.

The short verdict
Shopify suits a store that will grow into many products, sales channels, staff and apps, or sells in person and online from one inventory. OneCraft suits a small shop with a few dozen products that wants a good website first, a simple store inside it and payments straight into its own Stripe account.

Where Shopify is better
Everything a growing store needs
Shopify covers point of sale, marketplaces, B2B, staff accounts, shipping labels and hundreds of reports. OneCraft covers the basics of selling online and nothing beyond, so a store planning to scale will outgrow it.
Recovering lost sales
Shopify recovers abandoned checkouts and runs email campaigns. OneCraft lists abandoned checkouts but sends no reminders and no campaigns.
An app for every gap
With thousands of apps, Shopify can add reviews, subscriptions, loyalty and more. OneCraft has no app market.
Where OneCraft is different
The website comes first
The AI writes the whole site, the story, the pages, the FAQ, around the store, so a maker gets a proper brand site with a shop rather than a shop with a few pages.
Money straight to your Stripe account
Checkout runs on your connected Stripe account; payouts and refunds stay in your Stripe dashboard, with a platform fee of 2, 1 or 0.5 percent by plan.
Small, predictable setup
Products, variants, stock, collections, discount codes, shipping zones and pickup in a few screens, with CSV import from Shopify exports when you move.
Store size is the question
A store with 20 handmade products and a few orders a week has different needs from one with 2,000 SKUs and staff. Shopify is built to grow into the second. OneCraft is built for the first, and it is honest about the ceiling: no point of sale, no marketplaces, no app market.
Moving products from Shopify
Export products to CSV from Shopify and import them in the OneCraft store: the import recognises the Shopify layout, groups rows by handle into variants, converts HTML descriptions and shows a dry run before saving. Images are not copied, so upload photos afterwards.
Fees side by side
Shopify lists its plans and payment fees on its pricing page. OneCraft charges a platform fee per payment of 2 percent on Starter, 1 percent on Pro and 0.5 percent on Pro+, with Stripe card fees on top. Compare total cost at your real monthly sales, not headline plan prices.
Who should stay with Shopify
Stay with Shopify if you sell in person and online from one stock, use marketplaces or many apps, need staff accounts, or are growing past a few hundred orders a month. Move if your shop is small and the website matters as much as the cart.
Questions people ask
Can OneCraft import my Shopify products?
Yes. Export products to CSV in Shopify and import the file in the OneCraft store. Variants sharing a handle become one product, descriptions are converted to text, and a dry run shows what will be created. Photos are not copied and need uploading again.
Does OneCraft have a point of sale?
No. OneCraft takes payments online through Stripe Checkout only. If you sell at markets or in a shop from the same stock, a platform with an integrated point of sale keeps inventory in step, which OneCraft cannot do. Small market sellers often adjust stock by hand after each market day instead.
Is a OneCraft store secure?
Card details are entered on Stripe Checkout, never on your site. The browser sends only product ids and quantities, the server prices the cart, and the success page polls the order status. Stock is reserved during payment so nothing oversells.
Can I sell subscriptions on OneCraft?
No. Each order is a one off payment through Stripe Checkout. Subscriptions, memberships and recurring billing need another platform or a Stripe product set up outside the store. If a subscription box is your main product, a commerce platform with subscription support fits better.
What does OneCraft charge per sale?
A platform fee per payment of 2 percent on Starter, 1 percent on Pro and 0.5 percent on Pro+, plus Stripe own card fees on your account. The store itself is included in paid plans, with no separate store subscription.
