Appliance repair flyer with a call out fee and the makes fixed
An appliance repair flyer is read with a broken washing machine full of water, so it has to promise speed and say what the visit costs. These three designs for Drumspin Appliance Repairs, a fictional Sydney business, promise "fixed today or the call out is free", print the $89 call out credited to the repair and show which makes they fix.
The 3 designs
The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

The three designs
The makes map design is the distinctive one: a dark header, "Washers, fridges, ovens" in large type, a world map with shaded countries and a pin on Sydney, and a three point checklist of the promise, the call out and the warranty. It works as a letterbox flyer and a Facebook post. The chart design leads with the promise, a bar chart of 2025 repairs by appliance, a dark panel listing what is fixed, and a booking button, which suits a strata noticeboard or a real estate office. The three appliance types design is plain and warm, with the promise, a "call out $89" pill and three columns for laundry, cold and cooking appliances, and is the cheapest to print in volume.
What this flyer must carry
The call out fee and how it is credited, the same day promise and its condition, the appliance types, the warranty on parts, the area (Sydney metro), the booking cut off and the licence line. Repairing appliances that are hard wired, such as many ovens and cooktops, is electrical work in NSW that needs a licence, and NSW requires the licence number in advertising for licensed work, so the chart design prints a fictional NSW electrical licence, 389204C. Consumer guarantees under Australian law apply on top of the 90 day parts warranty.
How to adapt this flyer
For a commercial kitchen repairer, use the chart design with response times for cafes and restaurants and an after hours rate. For a gas appliance repairer, the three types design works with heaters, cooktops and hot water, and the gasfitting licence line in place of the electrical one. For a refrigeration specialist, use the makes map design and change the checklist to food safety, temporary cold storage and the call out, because a broken fridge is a food problem first.
What makes these work
The promise has a condition
"Fixed today or the call out is free" comes with the rule that makes it work: book before 11am, Monday to Saturday. A guarantee with a clear condition is believable, and it pushes callers to ring in the morning when parts runs are possible.
The map answers "do you fix my brand"
The makes design shades the countries the repaired makes come from, including Germany, Italy, Sweden, Korea, Japan, China, the US and Australia, with a pin on the Sydney workshop. It answers the most common question without printing a row of other companies' trademarks.
The chart shows what they fix most
The chart design plots repairs finished in 2025 by appliance: 412 washers, 356 fridges, 228 ovens, 174 dryers and 151 dishwashers. A reader with a broken washer sees it is the job this business does most, which is better proof than "experienced".
Questions people ask
How should an appliance repairer handle the call out fee on a flyer?
Print it and say what happens to it. Drumspin charges $89, which covers diagnosis and comes off the repair if the customer goes ahead. That turns a fee people resent into a deposit. If the call out is free in some cases, say exactly when, as the same day promise here does.
Can I list appliance brand names on my repair flyer?
You can usually say you repair certain brands, but avoid logos and any wording that suggests you are an authorised or official service agent unless you are. This example avoids names entirely and uses a map of the makes' countries of origin, which answers the question without using anyone's trademarks.
Does the parts warranty replace the customer's consumer guarantees?
No. Under Australian consumer law, repairs must be done with due care and skill and parts must be of acceptable quality, whatever warranty the business offers. A 90 day parts warranty is an extra promise on top. The flyer says so with "on top of your consumer guarantee rights", which is accurate and reassuring.
How do I add a chart of repair numbers to a flyer?
Use a design with a chart slot, as the chart design here does, or insert a chart from the Add items panel, which offers ten chart kinds including bar, line and pie. Type the categories and values in the inspector. Series colours follow the theme, and the flyer chart inspector has no separate colour control.
Can the world map show suburbs I service?
No. The flyer map is a world countries map that highlights whole countries, with optional pins by longitude and latitude, so it cannot show streets or suburbs. That is why it is used here for the makes' countries with one pin on the workshop. List service suburbs in text instead.

Locksmith flyer with 24 hour rates and rekey prices
A locksmith flyer is usually found by someone standing outside a locked door, so the after hours price and the response time matter more than anything else on it. These three designs for Tumblerwise Locksmiths, a fictional Brisbane business, promise a 30 minute response and print both call out rates, $95 in business hours and $180 after hours.
Security camera installation flyer with package prices
A security camera installation flyer sells a finished system at a fixed price, installed by someone licensed to do it, because that is what a homeowner is comparing against a box from the electronics store. These three designs for Tallowgate Security Installs, a fictional Brisbane business, lead with a 4 camera 4K system installed for $1,590 and the Queensland licence number.
Electrician flyer with a call out fee, prices and a licence number
An electrician flyer has to answer three questions before it reaches the bin: is this person licensed, what does a visit cost, and how fast can they come. These three designs for Brindlewire Electrical, a fictional three van business in Newcastle NSW, print the licence number, a $95 call out and fixed prices for the jobs people actually book.
