Blood drive flyer with session times and eligibility
A blood drive flyer has to turn goodwill into a booked chair, so it needs the date and times, a quick check of who can give, and how to book. These three designs for Gumleaf Grove Community Centre, a fictional centre in Penrith NSW hosting a mobile donor day on Wednesday 18 November 2026, give the 9am to 3pm session, Lifeblood's basic eligibility (aged 18 to 75, healthy, over 50 kg), what to eat and drink beforehand, the booking line and that walk ins are welcome if a chair is free.
The 3 designs
The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

The three designs
The donor day design is warm and photographic: "One hour, up to three lives" stacked in large type, the date and hall, a close photo of an arm during a donation, three rows for booking, who can give and how to prepare, and a booking button. Use it for letterboxes and the centre's noticeboard. The details design is purple with a geometric drop shape: the headline, "Give blood in our main hall", three eligibility columns and three info rows for the date, the hall and the booking number. Give it to schools, sports clubs and local businesses that might send a team. The steps design is a red wheel with the four stages of a donation around "Your donation", for Facebook and the centre's newsletter.
What this flyer must carry
The date, start and finish times and last booking time, the exact room, who can give, how to prepare, how to book and whether walk ins are accepted, and what to bring. In Australia all blood is collected by Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, so a community blood drive is a session Lifeblood runs, and the booking details must be Lifeblood's: lifeblood.com.au, the Donate Blood app or 13 14 95. Eligibility and preparation advice should come straight from Lifeblood's pages, because the rules change and an outdated flyer turns willing donors away. People can give whole blood every 12 weeks.
How to adapt this flyer
For a workplace drive, replace the hall with the meeting room and add a team challenge line, such as "Can level 3 fill 20 chairs?". For a university, add plasma donation as a second option and the bus stop nearest the donor van. For a regular monthly session, keep the steps design and swap the date line for "every third Wednesday", with the next three dates listed.
What makes these work
The headline makes a careful promise
"One hour, up to three lives" keeps Lifeblood's own wording, "up to", because one donation is separated into red cells, plasma and platelets that may help up to three patients. It also sets the time a donor needs to plan for, about an hour start to finish, so nobody books a 15 minute lunch break.
Eligibility in three short lines
The details design gives "aged 18 to 75", "over 50 kg" and "eat and drink" a column each. These are the basic checks most people fail on without knowing. Anyone outside them is sent to the eligibility quiz rather than turning up and being turned away, which is the worst outcome for a first time donor.
The visit is shown as four steps
The steps design puts the donation on a wheel: book, prepare, check, give, with "about 10 minutes in the chair, then a drink and a snack before you go". First time donors are often more worried about the unknown than the needle, and four steps with times take the unknown away.
Questions people ask
Who can give blood in Australia?
Lifeblood's basic guide is people aged 18 to 75 who are healthy and weigh over 50 kg, with an eligibility quiz for everything else, such as recent travel, tattoos or medicines. Print the basics and send readers to the quiz, so nobody travels to the session only to be deferred at the health check.
What should donors eat and drink before giving?
Lifeblood suggests drinking plenty the day before, then 750 mL of fluids and something savoury in the three hours before donating, and avoiding hard exercise. Print the three hour advice on the flyer, because most fainting at donor sessions happens to people who arrived hungry or dehydrated.
Can a community group run its own blood drive?
A group can host one and promote it, but in Australia blood is collected only by Lifeblood, which runs the session, the staff and the bookings. Contact Lifeblood about a mobile visit or a group booking at a donor centre, and use their booking details on the flyer rather than your own.
Should a blood drive flyer say "save three lives"?
Say "up to three lives", which is how Lifeblood describes it. One donation is separated into components that may go to up to three patients, but not every donation does. The words "up to" keep a strong headline accurate, and accuracy matters on a flyer that asks people to trust you with a needle.
Which blood drive design suits a Facebook event?
The steps design. Its wheel and short headline read well at 1200 by 630 pixels, which is its native Facebook Post layout. Each design also has Instagram Post and Story, LinkedIn Post, Facebook Cover, Twitter Header and A4 Landscape layouts. Use the Facebook Cover size for the event banner itself.

First aid course flyer with dates, price and the unit code
A first aid course flyer is read by people who need a certificate for work by a date, so it must show the exact unit, the price and the next dates before anything else. These three designs for Pulsereef First Aid Training, a fictional provider on Grafton Street in Cairns QLD, print HLTAID011 Provide First Aid in one day for $145, HLTAID009 CPR only for $65, seven dated sessions to December 2026, group rates of $125 a person and the RTO code.
Mental health awareness flyer for a workplace week
A workplace mental health awareness flyer works when it gives people something to do this week, not just something to feel: a time and place, a question they can ask, and a number to call. These three designs for the people team at Palletwren Logistics, a fictional depot business, run a mental health week from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026 with a daily activities table, three conversation starters, manager drop in times, the employee assistance program number and national support lines.
Vet clinic flyer with vaccination and desexing prices
A vet clinic flyer is usually picked up by a new pet owner who is about to spend money and wants to know how much, so the prices for the first year belong on it. These three designs for Murrayhound Vet Clinic, a fictional practice on Dean Street in Albury NSW, print puppy packages from $180, C5 vaccinations at $95, desexing priced by weight, a November dental offer and the after hours number.
