Speech pathology flyer for families, with NDIS pricing

A speech pathology flyer is read by a parent who is not sure yet whether their child needs help, so it should make the first step small: no referral, a clear assessment price and the ages the practice sees. These three designs for Wordpelican Speech Pathology, a fictional practice in Hamilton, Newcastle NSW, print a $250 assessment with a written report, NDIS sessions at the $193.99 an hour price limit, school and preschool visits, telehealth and an age range of 18 months to 12 years.

The 3 designs

The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

The three designs

The families design is a light editorial layout with three photos, a therapist working with a boy, picture cards on a rug and a parent with a child at a laptop, beside "EARLY SUPPORT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE". Its two text blocks cover who the practice sees and the fees and NDIS rate. Give it to preschools and GPs. The assessment design is deep purple: "NEW CLIENTS / TALKING?", the age range, a "clinic or school" button, a photo of a therapist and a child on a sofa, an assessment panel with $250, the NDIS hourly rate and telehealth, and the CPSP line. It suits NDIS support coordinators. The "Ask early" design is the simplest, a round photo of a child sorting animal cards, "Talking late? Ask early." and one paragraph with every price, for Facebook and school newsletters.

What this flyer must carry

Who you see, by age and by concern, whether a referral is needed, the assessment price and what it includes, how NDIS and Medicare funding work at your practice, where sessions happen and how to book. Speech pathologists are not registered with AHPRA; the profession is self regulated through Speech Pathology Australia, whose Certified Practising Speech Pathologist credential is what a parent can check. The Australian Consumer Law covers every claim, so promise support, not outcomes. NDIS prices must not exceed the current price limit, $193.99 an hour for speech pathology in 2026-27, and Medicare pays $63.40 for a visit on a GP chronic condition management plan.

How to adapt this flyer

For an adult practice, change the photos to an older client and list stroke recovery, voice and swallowing. For a practice that runs a group program, such as a school readiness group in January, add the dates, group size and price as a short table. For a practice that only does telehealth, replace the address with "Australia wide by video" and show a laptop session as the main photo.

What makes these work

The first step costs a known amount

All three designs price the assessment at $250 "with a written report". Parents worry about committing to months of therapy, and an assessment with a report they can take to the school or GP is a smaller, clearer decision. The "Ask early" design leads with "You do not need a referral", which removes the other reason to wait.

NDIS pricing is quoted from the schedule

The families design gives the NDIS rate as "$193.99 an hour for item 15_622_0128_1_3 in 2026-27", and the assessment design prints "$193.99 AN HOUR". Families managing their own NDIS plan check every invoice against the price limit, so a practice that prints the item and the rate earns trust with the people who read budgets closely.

The age range is printed

"18 months to 12" sits under the headline on the assessment design, and the families design describes who that covers: late talkers, unclear speech, stuttering, and children who find it hard to follow and tell stories. A parent of a teenager knows to look elsewhere, and a parent of a toddler knows it is not too early.

Questions people ask

Does a child need a referral to see a speech pathologist?

No referral is needed to book privately. A GP referral with a care plan is needed for the Medicare rebate, and NDIS participants use their plan. Saying "no referral needed" on the flyer matters, because many parents assume they need a doctor first and wait months for an appointment they did not need.

Should the flyer quote the NDIS line item?

It helps self managed and plan managed families, who check invoices against the pricing schedule. Quote the hourly rate and say it is at or under the current price limit. Line item numbers change between years, so update the flyer each July when the new schedule takes effect.

How do I show the ages a practice works with?

Put the range near the headline, in plain numbers such as "18 months to 12". Then list the concerns in parents' words, such as late talking, unclear speech and stuttering. A range and a list together let a parent decide in seconds whether to call, which is what a noticeboard flyer has time for.

Where do speech pathology flyers reach parents?

Preschools, childcare centres, maternal and child health centres, GP waiting rooms, libraries running story time, and school newsletters. Ask before leaving flyers at a school or childcare centre; many have a process for health service information. A short Facebook post in local parent groups often reaches the same families faster.

Can I export the flyer as a PDF for a school newsletter?

Yes. The builder exports PDF, PNG or JPG. PDF exports every page of the flyer as page images, so the text is not selectable, and PNG or JPG exports the page you are on. A4 exports at 2480 by 3508 pixels, so the file is sharp enough to drop into a newsletter or print at the school office.

Other flyer examples

First aid course flyer with dates, price and the unit code

A first aid course flyer is read by people who need a certificate for work by a date, so it must show the exact unit, the price and the next dates before anything else. These three designs for Pulsereef First Aid Training, a fictional provider on Grafton Street in Cairns QLD, print HLTAID011 Provide First Aid in one day for $145, HLTAID009 CPR only for $65, seven dated sessions to December 2026, group rates of $125 a person and the RTO code.

Optometrist flyer for bulk billed eye tests and a frames offer

An optometrist flyer competes with chain stores on two promises, a free eye test and a cheap second pair, so it has to say exactly when the test is bulk billed and exactly what the second pair offer covers. These three designs for Lenscane Optometry, a fictional practice on Victoria Street in Mackay QLD, print bulk billed tests for Medicare card holders, second pair half price with its conditions, children seen from age 3, contact lens fitting from $90 and HICAPS claims.

Yoga studio flyer with an intro offer and the class timetable

A yoga studio flyer has to get a beginner through the door once, so it needs a low first price, the timetable so they can see a class fits their week, and a reason to believe they will not be the only stiff person in the room. These three designs for Saltmat Yoga, a fictional studio on Market Street in Fremantle WA, print 30 days unlimited for $49, a seven day timetable, five class styles, a $28 casual class and a four week beginners course from Monday 2 November 2026.
