A Bidsketch alternative with AI drafting and online deposits
Bidsketch builds proposals from reusable templates, fees and content, adds optional fees, a client landing page, e-signatures and open notifications, and shows the client a message about next steps after they sign. OneCraft Proposals drafts the proposal from a brief and makes the next step a deposit invoice the client can pay by card straight away.

The short verdict
Bidsketch suits an agency whose proposals are mostly reuse: the same sections, fees and designs dropped into a new document by several people, sometimes at the same time. OneCraft suits a smaller shop that writes each proposal for a specific client, wants that first draft done from a brief, and wants the deposit requested and collected at the moment of acceptance.

Where Bidsketch is better
Several people in one proposal
Realtime collaboration and team management are on every Bidsketch plan. An agency where a strategist writes the approach while an account manager sets the fees can work on the same document together. OneCraft allows one editor at a time.
Comments on the proposal
Clients can comment on a Bidsketch proposal from its landing page, which keeps clarifications in one place. OneCraft has no comments; the client either accepts, declines with a reason or emails you.
Your own domain
Proposals can be served from your own domain on every Bidsketch plan. OneCraft's client links sit on the OneCraft address, which some agencies will see as a branding gap.
Where OneCraft is different
Deposit collected, not requested
Bidsketch's approval message tells the client how to pay the deposit. In OneCraft the deposit is an issued invoice the instant they accept, emailed to them, with a Pay deposit now button that opens Stripe Checkout. The balance invoice waits as a draft until the work is done.
Each proposal written for the client
A research step reads the client's website, or looks up the company name, before the AI writes. The opening sections then talk about that business, and the model is told not to invent figures beyond what it found. Prices you supply are kept to the cent.
Expiry enforced
Every proposal has a valid until date. Once a daily check finds it past that date unaccepted, the proposal moves to expired and cannot be accepted, so a price written in March cannot be accepted in July without you sending it again.
A finished example

Bidsketch speeds up proposals by reuse: templates, saved pricing items, a content library and designs that drop into a new document. That is the right model when most proposals are 80% the same. OneCraft speeds them up by drafting: the brief and the price hints become a complete proposal, and the 18 templates give a service its usual structure. Most agencies have both kinds of work, so the question is which kind takes more of your week.
What happens after the signature
Bidsketch's approval message is a page of instructions shown after signing, which an agency can use for a deposit request, a welcome guide or a file upload link. OneCraft replaces the instruction with the invoice itself. With a 25% deposit, acceptance issues an invoice for a quarter of the accepted total, due that day, and emails it to the person who accepted. If Stripe is connected on a paid plan, the client can pay on the spot.
Teams and simultaneous editing
OneCraft Proposals is built for one owner, or one person at a time. There are no seats inside Proposals, no roles and no live co-editing, and the account plan is priced per account rather than per user. For a three person agency that rarely edits the same document at once this is simpler; for one that works on proposals together, Bidsketch's collaboration is a real advantage.
How the columns were checked
Bidsketch claims are quoted from its home page and pricing page, read on 13 October 2026. Where those pages do not describe a capability, such as collecting card payments, the cell says not listed rather than guessing. Plan prices are left on Bidsketch's own pricing page. OneCraft cells name rows of a ledger compiled from the product's source code.
Who should stay with Bidsketch
Stay with Bidsketch if several people build each proposal together, if clients comment on the proposal itself, if proposals must come from your own domain, or if your library of reusable sections and fees already does most of the writing. OneCraft fits the studio that wants drafting and deposit collection handled.
Questions people ask
Can I reuse content between proposals in OneCraft?
Through templates and duplication. Start from one of the 18 templates, or duplicate a past proposal and edit it. There is no library of saved sections or fees to drop in, which Bidsketch has. The brief also carries reuse: paste your standard scope and prices into it and the AI builds the proposal around them.
How does the client pay the deposit?
When they accept, the deposit invoice is issued due that day and emailed to them, and the accepted screen shows a Pay deposit now button. It opens Stripe Checkout on your connected Stripe account. Connecting Stripe needs a paid plan; on the free plan, put bank details on the invoice and mark it paid when the transfer arrives.
Can the proposal be signed by both sides?
The client signs online: a name, an email, a drawn or typed signature and a consent box. Click acceptance has no countersign step for you, so if both sides must sign, add signature lines for each party to the document and both of you keep the accepted PDF, which is emailed with its certificate page.
Will I know when the client opens it?
Yes. Each recipient has their own link, and the first open of each sends you a notification. The activity page then lists opens and total viewing time per link, recorded through a heartbeat while the proposal is on screen. It does not report which sections were read or for how long each.
Is there a limit on proposals?
On the free plan, 3 proposals; on Starter, 25; from Pro, no cap. Each new proposal uses one credit, whether it was generated, opened from a template or duplicated, and AI drafting and chat bill their model use on top. Bidsketch's plans list unlimited proposals, so compare on volume before choosing.
Can I export the proposal as a PDF?
Yes. PDF is the only export, rendered on the server so it matches the pages the client sees. When the client accepts by click, the PDF gains a certificate page with the acceptance details. There is no Word export, and the client cannot edit the text, only choose optional items and quantities.
