Mothers Day flyer

Mothers Day is the busiest day in a florist year and the one where the most goes wrong, because the promise is a bouquet arriving at a particular house on a particular Sunday. Wren & Willow work out of one shop in Thornbury with one van, so the three flyers below split the job: prices on the first, delivery rules on the second, and on the third nothing but the shop, the date and how recently the flowers were cut. All three carry the same four tiers and the same order by date, and none of them promises a delivery hour.

The 3 designs

The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

Wren & Willow
For her, not for May
Cut Thursday, tied Friday
Sunday 9 May, and the order list closes on the 6th. Everything is cut on the Thursday and tied on the Friday, so a bouquet leaving this shop on Saturday is two days old, not two weeks. Posies from $70.

What makes these work

The prices are a ladder, not a range

Posy $70, classic $95, deluxe $140, luxe $195, plus $35 for a vase. Four rungs at a glance is how somebody decides in eight seconds. From $70 tells them nothing, and it is the line that gets a phone call instead of an order.

The delivery flyer is a list of four promises

Order by the sixth, delivery any time Friday to Sunday, homes by 6pm and workplaces by 5pm, and stems may change while style and value hold. Each is a sentence that stops a specific complaint, which is why they get equal weight rather than being buried in one paragraph.

The poster refuses to mention a discount

It says the stems are cut Thursday and tied Friday, and leaves it there. A florist competing on price against a supermarket bucket loses, so this design competes on how recently the flowers were alive.

Questions people ask

When is Mothers Day, and when should orders close?

It falls on the second Sunday in May, which is 9 May in 2027. Florists close the order list on the Wednesday before, because the flower market buy happens on the Thursday. Taking orders after that means promising stems nobody has bought yet.

What are the usual same day delivery cut-offs?

The common industry pattern is an order in before 2pm in the recipient time zone for a weekday delivery, before 10am on a Saturday, and no same day delivery on a Sunday. Deliveries to homes run until about 6pm and to workplaces until about 5pm, since offices close first.

Why do florists say flowers may be substituted?

Because stems are seasonal, perishable and regionally variable, so the exact bloom in the photograph may not exist on the day. The standard clause keeps the style, theme and colour scheme and only substitutes items of equal or higher value. Printing it is what makes the photograph an honest representation rather than a promise you cannot keep.

Can a Mothers Day flyer promise a Sunday delivery?

Not safely. Peak weekend orders are usually delivered across the Friday to Sunday window rather than on the Sunday itself, and timed slots are not offered at all during the peak. Say so on the flyer in one line and the phone stops ringing on Saturday morning. It also matters for the addresses that fall outside a normal run, since restricted delivery areas can take up to forty eight hours and a customer who reads that in advance is not a customer who is angry about it later.
