Art print online store example with a size guide
Print buyers stall on one question: which size will fit my wall? This example for an invented Wollongong photographer answers it with a size guide in the middle of the home page, three plan style cards for A4, A3 and A2 with the price and dimensions, before the second collection of prints.
The home page at three widths
The same page on a desktop, a tablet and a phone, exactly as it renders. Scroll inside each frame to read it all; nothing here can be clicked or submitted.

Sections on the home page
A full photo hero of a print on a wall, the coast collection in big photos, the size guide as plan cards, the native flora collection in a product grid and a photo and story section about the photographer. Each print's product page has a size select and the description of where the photo was taken.
Setting up sizes and prices
Every print has a Size option with A4, A3 and A2 at $45, $75 and $120. Keep the prices the same across prints so the size guide stays true, and track stock only if you print in batches; made to order prints are best left untracked.
What makes this website work
A size guide between the collections
The pricing section shows A4, A3 and A2 as three cards with dimensions, the price and where each size suits, with A3 highlighted as the most popular. It answers the size question in the middle of the browsing, where it comes up.
Big photos for the coast collection
The coast prints use the big photos layout, two to a row, so the images are large enough to judge. Smaller cards would turn landscape photography into thumbnails.
Unframed, said twice
The size guide note and the hero both say prints ship flat and unframed. Saying what the buyer will receive prevents the commonest complaint in print shops, which is expecting a frame.
Questions people ask
How do I sell prints in several sizes?
Give each print an option named Size with the values you offer, each with its own price. The product grid shows the A4 price as from, and the product page has a size select. A size guide section, as in this example, helps buyers choose before they open a print.
Can I sell framed and unframed prints?
Add a second option, such as Frame with values Unframed and Oak frame, to the same product. A product can have up to three options and up to 100 variants, each with its own price. Shipping rates can be set higher for the zone if framed prints cost more to send.
Can I sell digital downloads of my photos?
Yes. A product can be digital, with a file of up to 500 MB attached per variant. After payment the buyer gets download links, five downloads per item within seven days. Digital orders need no shipping and are marked as not requiring fulfilment.
How should I photograph my prints for the store?
Show at least one photo of the print on a wall for scale, and one flat image of the artwork. Upload them in the product editor, where each product can have several photos. This example uses one photo per print to keep the catalog simple.
Who owns the copyright in the prints?
The photographer does, unless they have signed it away; selling a print sells the object, not the right to copy it. Say so in your terms of sale. Every generated store gets terms and privacy pages you can edit, linked from the footer.

Candle online store example with sizes and a gift box
Candles are bought on scent and gifted on presentation, so a candle shop has to describe smell in words and show the jar beautifully. This example for an invented Byron Bay maker sells four scents in two sizes, a diffuser, wax melts and a gift box, with care advice and free shipping over $90.
Plant shop online store example with local delivery
A plant shop has a problem other stores do not: its products are alive and travel badly. This example for an invented Brisbane nursery sells six easy care plants in two pot sizes, says plainly that plants are delivered only in South East Queensland, and ships pots and potting mix anywhere.
Dog treat online store example with a treat guide
Dog owners buy treats on two worries: what is in them and whether they are safe for their dog. This example for an invented Mudgee maker answers both, single ingredient products named by what they are made of, and a guide to which treat suits which dog, with puppies and supervision covered.
