Photographer flyer example with family, newborn and event rates
A photographer flyer is the one flyer where the picture does half the selling, but the prices and the turnaround do the other half. These three designs for Gullhaven Photography, a fictional studio in Wollongong NSW, show a family session at $350 with 20 edited images, a newborn session at $450, events at $220 an hour, a 10 day turnaround and optional print packages.
The 3 designs
The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

The three designs
The sessions design reads like an event programme: a dark chocolate page with "Family session $350, 20 images", a sunset family photo in a pill shaped frame, three price columns, then three small photos for family, newborn and events, and a prints and turnaround panel with the studio address. It is the A4 flyer for childcare centres, playgroups and cafe noticeboards. The beach design is lighter and more playful, with "FAMILY PHOTOS" in olive and navy, diamond framed photos of a beach and a newborn's feet, and a list of the three sessions. Post it as an Instagram story in the weeks before school holidays. The prints design is the most editorial: "Family $350." in large type, a round beach photo, and three thumbnails captioned with the newborn price, the event rate and the framed A3 print. Use it as a Facebook post or a price sheet in the studio.
What this flyer must carry
A photographer's flyer needs the session types with prices, what each price includes (time, number of images, how they are delivered), the turnaround, the location or service area and a way to book. In New South Wales, consumer guarantees apply to services, so a photographer must deliver with due care and within a reasonable time, which is another reason to print a turnaround you can meet. Photography has no licence, but an ABN on the flyer reassures parents booking a stranger. Only use photos you took, with the subjects' permission, or stock images clearly not presented as your clients; a flyer full of another photographer's work misleads.
How to adapt this flyer
For a wedding photographer, replace the family price with package tiers by hours of coverage and add the travel area, since couples compare coverage more than image counts. For a pet photographer, use the beach design with a dog on the sand, and change the newborn line to a studio session with treats included. For a headshot photographer selling to businesses, use the sessions design with per person prices, a minimum number of staff and on site setup, and quote prices to business clients with GST shown.
What makes these work
Each price says how many images it buys
Family is $350 for 20 edited images, newborn $450 for 15. A session fee without an image count leaves the client wondering whether the gallery costs extra; putting both numbers together answers it and makes the price easy to compare with another photographer's.
Turnaround is a number
"Ready within 10 days" sits in the sessions design and the prints design. Parents waiting for newborn photos care about speed almost as much as price, and a number they can hold you to is more convincing than "fast turnaround".
Prints are optional and priced
The sessions design lists five 8x10 prints at $120 and a framed A3 at $180, and calls them optional. Upselling is part of a photographer's income, and stating print prices up front avoids the feeling of being sold to after the shoot.
Questions people ask
Should a photographer flyer show prices or say "packages from"?
Show the main price and what it includes. "Family session $350, 20 edited images" lets a parent decide in seconds, while "packages from" invites a message and a wait. Keep complex wedding or commercial pricing for a follow up guide, but put at least one real number on the flyer.
Can I use my clients' photos on my flyer?
Only with written permission, and for children, the parents' permission. Add a line to your booking form asking whether you may use images in your marketing. Without it, choose landscapes, details such as hands and feet, or images of your own family, which also avoids a client being surprised to find their child on a café noticeboard.
How many photos should a photography flyer have?
Three to five, chosen to show range: one hero image of your best type of work and two or three smaller ones of other sessions. These designs use four, two and four photo slots. Too many thumbnails turn the flyer into a contact sheet, and none of them reads well when printed at A4.
Will my photos print sharply from these flyers?
The A4 page exports at 2480 by 3508 pixels, which is 300 DPI, so a photo that fills its frame at that resolution prints crisply. Upload images at least as large as the slot will print, and use JPEG or PNG under 10 MB. The export is RGB with no bleed, so tell the printer before they trim.
Which size suits Instagram stories for a photographer?
The beach design has an Instagram story layout authored at 1080 by 1920 pixels, so the photos and the session list are arranged for a tall phone screen. Add a link sticker to your booking page when you post it, and keep the same theme so the story and the A4 flyer look like one studio.

Graphic designer flyer with logo and brand packages
A graphic designer flyer has to look like good design and still answer the dull questions: what it costs, how long it takes, how many revisions and which files you get. These three designs for Inkhollow Design, a fictional studio in Portland, Oregon, sell a logo package at $1,200 in two weeks, a brand package at $2,800 and a launch package at $4,500, with the file formats and the revision rounds printed.
Bookkeeping flyer with monthly packages for sole traders
A bookkeeping flyer has to show a sole trader what a month of tidy books costs and prove that the person lodging the BAS is allowed to. These three designs for Tallyburn Bookkeeping, a fictional bookkeeper in Bendigo VIC, price three packages by transaction volume from $180 a month, print the registered BAS agent number and offer the first month at half price.
Law firm flyer for fixed fee conveyancing and wills
A law firm flyer works when it turns a frightening unknown, the legal bill, into a number printed beside the service. These three designs for Quillmere Legal, a fictional practice in Sydney NSW, put purchase conveyancing at $1,100 fixed, wills from $350 and a free 30 minute first consultation on the page, with the Law Society membership line where a careful reader looks for it.
