Donorbox is the better pick for a nonprofit that needs fundraising tools beyond a donate page: peer to peer campaigns, text to give, a kiosk, a donor portal, a nonprofit CRM, crypto and stock gifts, and donation receipts sent for every gift. OneCraft suits a small charity, church or club that wants donations to be part of its own website, with campaigns, goals and a donor wall in the site's own database, gifts paid through its own Stripe account and one plan covering the whole site.

Where Donorbox is better
Receipts for every gift
Donorbox sends donation receipts and lets nonprofits rebrand them. OneCraft issues no tax receipt; donors get Stripe's payment receipt link, and anything a tax office needs is up to you.
Peer to peer and text to give
Donorbox includes peer to peer campaigns, text to give, a giving kiosk and tap to donate. OneCraft builds campaigns on your site but no supporter pages, and it has no SMS.
A free plan that takes money
Donorbox Standard costs nothing a month and charges only fees per gift. OneCraft's free plan cannot publish or take payments, so a live donate page needs a paid plan from $8 a month.
More ways to give
Donorbox lists PayPal, ACH bank transfer, crypto, stock and donor advised fund gifts. OneCraft takes cards and wallets through Stripe only.

Giving inside the whole website
The donate page sits on the same site as the animals for adoption, events, volunteer forms or a church's sermons, built by the same agent at your own domain, with no embedded third party form.
Amounts checked in the database
Only a database function can create a gift: it checks the campaign is active and inside its dates and keeps the amount between the campaign's minimum and maximum. Progress counts paid gifts only, and visitors cannot read anyone's donations.
Lower fees at small volume
On a $25 Pro plan the platform fee is 1% plus Stripe's fees, against 2.95% to 3.95% on Donorbox's free Standard plan. Somewhere between about 850 and 1,300 dollars a month in gifts the two cost the same; above that, the lower percentage wins.
How a donate page works on OneCraft
The donations guide builds a /donate page with suggested amount buttons, an Other amount, One off or Monthly, name, email, a message, Show me on the donor wall and Give anonymously. One off gifts go to Stripe Checkout as an order; monthly gifts need the donor to sign in and become a subscription. Campaign pages show the story, a progress bar of raised against goal, donors, days left and the wall. Admins set goals, limits and dates, export paid donations to CSV and moderate the wall.
Receipts and tax
Whether a gift is tax deductible depends on your country and your organisation's status. In Australia, the ATO says a gift is deductible only when it goes to an organisation with deductible gift recipient status, and the donor needs a record such as a receipt. OneCraft does not issue tax receipts and the agent never calls gifts tax deductible unless your brief says so. If you need formal receipts for every gift, Donorbox handles that for you.
Working out the fees
Take 2,000 dollars of gifts a month. On Donorbox Standard, at 2.95% to 3.95%, that is 59 to 79 dollars plus card processing, with no plan fee. On OneCraft Pro it is $25 for the plan plus a 1% platform fee, 20 dollars, plus Stripe's fees. The whole website comes with the OneCraft plan, which matters if you would otherwise pay for one separately.
Who should stay with Donorbox
Stay with Donorbox if receipts, peer to peer fundraising, text to give or a donor CRM are part of how you raise money, or you want donations working today on a free plan. Move if your organisation needs a full website anyway and wants donations, campaigns and a donor wall built into it, paid through its own Stripe account.
Questions people ask
Does OneCraft send donation receipts?
Not tax receipts. After payment the thank you page shows Stripe's receipt link, and the site can email a signed in donor at their own address. If your donors need a receipt that meets your tax office's rules for every gift, use a fundraising platform that issues them or send them yourself.
Can donors give monthly?
Yes. Each monthly amount is a plan row billed as a Stripe subscription on your own account. The donor signs in first, then manages their card or cancels through the Stripe billing portal. The admin area lists monthly donors from the subscriptions, and progress bars count paid gifts only.
Can I run several appeals at once?
Yes. Each campaign has its own page, story, cover, goal, dates and suggested amounts, and a general fund is simply a campaign without a goal. Gifts record which campaign they belong to, and the admin filters donations by campaign and exports them as CSV.
What does a donation cost me on OneCraft?
A platform fee of 2% on Starter, 1% on Pro or 0.5% on Pro+, plus Stripe's own card fees, on top of the monthly plan. The free plan cannot take payments. Gifts land in your Stripe balance and Stripe pays out to your bank on its usual schedule.
Can volunteers fundraise on their own pages?
No. OneCraft builds campaigns that your organisation runs, not peer to peer pages where supporters raise money for you. Donorbox includes peer to peer campaigns on its free plan, so if supporter fundraising drives your appeals, it is the better fit.
