A Glide apps alternative for customer facing sites and apps
Glide turns spreadsheets into apps and agents for internal business work: field operations, inventory, portals and dashboards, with roles and integrations. OneCraft Sites builds what customers see: an AI agent writes a public website or a native Expo phone app, with a database per site when features need one.

The short verdict
Glide suits operations teams turning spreadsheets into internal apps, with views per role, connected data and workflows. OneCraft suits a business building for its customers: a website that ranks, payments through Stripe and a native phone app, written by an AI agent from a brief.

Where Glide is better
Internal tools from a spreadsheet
Glide reads a spreadsheet and builds working internal apps with workflows. OneCraft builds customer facing sites and apps and does not connect to spreadsheets; data moves in by CSV only if the agent adds an import.
Roles and permissions as settings
Glide shows each person the data and actions for their role through ready made settings. OneCraft's agent can write roles into row level security, such as admins or a team, but each rule is code for that site rather than a setting you change.
Integrations
Glide connects to Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, QuickBooks, Salesforce and more. OneCraft connects only Supabase and Stripe, through its own brokers.
Where OneCraft is different
Built for customers
Public pages with a title and description each, payments through Stripe Checkout, visitor login with Google, enquiry forms and visit stats, the parts a customer facing presence needs.
A real native app
The agent writes an Expo app with React Native screens, 3 to 5 tabs ending with an Account tab, previewed in phone and tablet frames, with test or store builds through Expo at 5 credits each.
The website and the app share data
An app based on one of your websites takes its colours, fonts, content and database, so a menu change saved in the database shows in both.
Inside or outside the business
Glide is aimed inward, at the people who run operations. OneCraft is aimed outward, at customers who find, read, buy and come back. Many businesses need both, and the two do not compete much once the audience is clear.
Store apps and their rules
A customer app has to pass App Store and Google Play review, and builder made apps must be submitted by the business. OneCraft never submits for you; you submit from your own Apple and Google accounts with eas submit.
Data without a spreadsheet
OneCraft data lives in a Postgres database for the site, in tables the agent writes with row level security. With its csv guide the agent can add CSV import and export to the admin, but there is no live link to Google Sheets or Excel, so the database becomes the source of truth.
Who should stay with Glide
Stay with Glide for internal apps built on spreadsheets, with roles, workflows and integrations for your team. Move if what you need is a public website or an app for customers.
Questions people ask
Can OneCraft build an internal staff app?
It is not designed for that, though its industries map includes a staff app and it has guides for team and roster. Sites and apps can restrict rows to signed in staff through row level security, but there are no spreadsheet connections or ready made workflows, so Glide fits internal tools built on spreadsheets better.
Can my OneCraft app read a Google Sheet?
Not directly. Ask the agent for CSV import from its csv guide, then load a CSV exported from the sheet into the site's database in the admin. After that, edit rows there; an app based on the website reads the same database, so the one list stays up to date for both.
Do I need developer accounts for a OneCraft app?
Yes, to publish in the stores. Apple charges 99 USD a year and Google Play 25 USD once, and a new personal Play account tests with 12 people for 14 days. You submit from your own accounts with eas submit. Without store accounts, an Android test build installs from a QR code.
Is the OneCraft app native?
Yes. It is an Expo project in React Native with Expo Router, Uniwind styling and React Native Reusables components, with tabs and an Account tab for light or dark appearance. The builder previews it in a phone or tablet frame before you run a test or store build through Expo.
Which is cheaper?
Compare by job. Glide plans on its pricing page include credits, team members and published apps. OneCraft plans run from $0 to $125 a month; generation bills model use at 1 credit per US cent plus builds, a measured app generation used 55 to 72 credits, and each Expo build costs 5 credits.
