The short verdict

Pick Kajabi if you want one subscription to run courses, email marketing, a community and a branded app, and your revenue makes 179 USD a month small. Pick Teachable if the course is the product and you want hosted video, graded quizzes and certificates at a lower plan price, moving to Builder once sales make the 7.5% Starter fee hurt. Pick OneCraft if courses are one part of a wider business website, you want the code and data, and a lighter course feature set is enough.

Where Kajabi is better

Where Teachable is better

Where OneCraft is different

Kajabi vs Teachable on price

Billed monthly, Kajabi's entry plan is 179 USD and Teachable's is 39 USD, a gap of 140 USD a month. Annual billing brings them to 143 and 29 USD. Fees run the other way at first: Teachable Starter takes 7.5% of each sale while Kajabi charges card processing of 2.9% plus 30 cents through Kajabi Payments. On 2,000 dollars of monthly sales, Teachable Starter's fee is 150 dollars, so Builder at 89 USD with a 0% fee becomes the cheaper Teachable plan.

Kajabi vs Teachable on features

Both host video, run quizzes, drip lessons and send certificates. Kajabi adds email marketing with contacts by plan, communities with feed or chat channels and live meetups, and a branded mobile app, which is why it costs more. Teachable concentrates on the course: graded quizzes, short answer assessments, student apps and memberships. If you would otherwise pay for a separate email tool and community, Kajabi's price buys those; if you would not, Teachable is the leaner choice.

Where OneCraft fits

OneCraft is not a course platform. Its agent writes a whole website or phone app from a brief, and courses come from one of its 65 capability guides: courses, lessons, free previews, gating by plan and progress ticks, with payments through your own Stripe account. It builds no certificates, hosts no video and grades no quizzes. It suits a business that teaches on the side and wants one site that also takes bookings, sells products or runs a members feed.

How to decide in an afternoon

List what a student touches: the sales page, checkout, lessons, quizzes, certificate, community and emails after purchase. Mark which ones you would pay a separate tool for today. Then price your next twelve months on each pricing page using your own expected sales, and add the fee per sale. The cheapest headline plan is rarely the cheapest year.

Who should stay with Kajabi or Teachable

If you already run on Kajabi or Teachable and the course is your whole business, stay: both are mature course platforms with features OneCraft does not build, such as certificates and hosted video. Consider OneCraft when the course is a side line of a local business or studio that also needs its own website.

Questions people ask

Is Kajabi or Teachable cheaper?

On plan price Teachable is cheaper: 39 USD a month against 179 USD billed monthly. On fees Teachable Starter takes 7.5% of each sale, so at a few thousand dollars a month in sales its Builder plan at 89 USD with 0% fees costs less. Add card processing on both, and check each pricing page before you commit.

Which has better email marketing?

Kajabi includes email marketing with 2,500 contacts on Basic up to 100,000 on Pro. Teachable lists built in email marketing in its sales and marketing features. OneCraft sends only a plain newsletter to 500 confirmed subscribers per send, so for sequences and broadcasts at scale Kajabi is the stronger of the three.

Can I move from Teachable to Kajabi later?

Yes, but plan for work. Lesson text and videos can be moved, while student accounts, progress and active subscriptions generally cannot carry over as they are. Ask both vendors what migration help they offer, export your student list, and keep the old school open until paying students have moved.

Do any of them issue certificates?

Kajabi can send a certificate automatically when a student completes a course, and Teachable lists course certificates on its Growth plan. OneCraft does not issue certificates; its memberships guide records completion only. If students need proof of completion for an employer or a registration body, choose one of the course platforms.

Which is best for a beginner with one course?

Teachable Starter is the cheapest way into a dedicated course platform, with a 7-day trial. If you already need a business website, OneCraft can build the course into it from $8 a month with a 2% platform fee per sale. Kajabi suits a creator ready to use its email and community tools.
