The short verdict
Teachable is the better pick when a course is the product: hosted video, graded quizzes, short answer assessments, certificates, drip schedules and student apps come ready on every paid plan. OneCraft suits a business whose courses sit inside a wider website or app, such as a studio, a clinic or a trainer, where lessons, members and payments live in the site's own database and the plan costs $8 to $125 a month.

Where Teachable is better
Assessment and certificates
Teachable lists auto graded quizzes, short answer assessments and course certificates. OneCraft can build a quiz form, but it does not grade it against a lesson or issue a certificate, so accredited or compliance training fits Teachable better.
Video storage included
Teachable stores up to 1TB of video on its plans. OneCraft hosts no video; you keep lessons on YouTube or Vimeo and manage their privacy there.
Student apps from day one
Teachable lists iOS and Android student apps even on Starter. A OneCraft phone app is your own Expo project: it needs a paid plan, build credits, your own Apple and Google developer accounts, and store review.
Where OneCraft is different
Courses inside a whole business site
The agent builds courses next to whatever else the business needs from 65 capability guides, such as bookings, classes, a shop catalog or a members feed. A yoga studio can sell drop in classes and an online course from one site and one database.
Lower plan price, small fee per sale
OneCraft plans cost $8 to $125 a month. Teachable Starter is 39 USD a month with a 7.5% transaction fee; OneCraft Starter is $8 with a 2% platform fee on payments through your own Stripe account, plus Stripe's fees.
Code and data you can move
Every site is a React project in its own git repository with a zip download, and the database is a schema in OneCraft's pool or a project on your own Supabase account. Its migrations and schema file are written into the repository.
A course platform or a site with courses
Teachable starts from the course: the school, its checkout and its student apps are built around it. OneCraft starts from the business: the agent plans pages and capabilities from a brief of up to 3,000 characters, and courses arrive through the memberships guide as courses, lessons and progress tables. Ask which one describes you. A creator selling one flagship course is usually served well by a course platform; a gym, tutor or consultant who also sells lessons online often wants one site.
The fee maths on a small course
Say a course sells 20 places at 150 dollars a month, 3,000 dollars in sales. On Teachable Starter that is 39 USD for the plan plus a 7.5% transaction fee, about 225 dollars, before card processing. On OneCraft Starter it is $8 plus a 2% platform fee, 60 dollars, plus Stripe's card fees, and building and editing the site uses credits. Teachable's 0% fee on Builder changes the picture at higher volume, so run your own numbers.
What moves and what does not
There is no import from Teachable. Course outlines, lesson text and video links move by describing them in the brief or entering them in the admin area the agent builds. Student accounts and card details do not move; students sign up again and paid members subscribe through the new Stripe checkout. Keep the old school open until current members have moved across. If you sell to members in several countries, check how each platform handles sales tax: Teachable lists global payments and taxes on its plans, while OneCraft sales are direct charges on your own Stripe account, so ask your accountant how to handle tax on them.
Who should stay with Teachable
Stay with Teachable if your course is the business, you rely on graded quizzes or certificates, or you want hosted video and student apps without managing developer accounts. Move if courses are one part of a larger site, you want the look and the data under your control, and a lighter course feature set is enough.
Questions people ask
Can a OneCraft course site grade quizzes?
Not as Teachable does. The forms guide builds custom forms, surveys and quizzes with a responses table the admin reads, but it does not score answers against a lesson or block progress until a pass mark. If graded assessment is a requirement of your course, a course platform is the better fit.
Do I need a Stripe account for OneCraft?
Yes, for any payment. Each sale is a direct charge on your own connected Stripe account, so money lands in your Stripe balance and Stripe pays out to your bank on its own schedule. Connect Stripe in account Settings, Payments, on a paid plan. The free plan cannot take payments.
Can students sign in with Google?
Yes. Visitor login uses email and password through Supabase Auth with password reset, and Google sign in through OneCraft's broker. Google sign in works on the published site and the installed app, not inside the builder preview, so test it after publishing.
Where are my students' details stored?
In the site's own database: a schema of its own in OneCraft's pool project with a login role that can reach no other site, or a project on your own Supabase account if you connect one. Every plan includes a hosted database.
Can I drip lessons on a schedule?
The memberships guide gates lessons by plan and a free preview flag rather than by a release date, so a timed drip is not part of what it builds by default. Teachable lists drip course content as a platform feature. Ask the agent in chat if you need dates, and check the result in the preview.
