Lovable vs Bubble, and OneCraft as a third way to build
Lovable writes a web app as real code from chat, with a Supabase based backend and two way GitHub sync, while Bubble has you build visually with its own database, privacy rules and native mobile apps, with no codebase to export. OneCraft is a third way: an agent writes business websites and Expo apps from a brief, checked on every build.

The short verdict
Pick Lovable if you want an AI to write a general web application as code you own, with a Supabase based backend and GitHub sync for a developer to pick up. Pick Bubble if you want to build by hand in a visual editor, publish native apps from the same platform and never touch code. Pick OneCraft if the project is a small business website or phone app and you want an agent to build its features from tested guides, with Stripe payments on your own account and a layout check on every build.

Where Lovable is better
Code a developer can keep working on
Lovable syncs both ways with GitHub, so a developer can push changes that come back into Lovable. OneCraft offers a zip download only, and edits made outside do not sync back.
General web applications
Lovable builds production web applications of any kind, with storage, users and a Supabase based backend. OneCraft is aimed at business websites and phone apps on fixed starters.
Where Bubble is better
Hands on visual control
Bubble lets you place every element and build every workflow yourself, with thousands of templates to start from. OneCraft has no visual editor and no template library.
Native apps on the same platform
Bubble publishes native iOS and Android apps and can push many updates over the air. A OneCraft app is a separate Expo project that you submit to the stores yourself.
Where OneCraft is different
Business features from 65 guides
OneCraft's agent builds bookings, orders, classes, a members feed, a client portal, donations and more from capability guides that set the tables, access rules, screens and admin for each, so a clinic or cafe gets features that have been written for that job.
Checks before anything finishes
Every build runs a type check, ESLint, the production build and a headless browser layout check at 375, 768 and 1280 pixels. A fresh agent then reviews the code and screenshots and returns up to 12 fixes, for at most two rounds.
Stripe and mail handled for the site
The site never holds a Stripe or mail key. Payments are a direct charge on your own Stripe account through OneCraft's broker, and mail goes out under fixed limits, so a small business does not have to wire up either.
Lovable vs Bubble in one paragraph each
Lovable is an AI development platform: you describe a web application in chat, it writes real code with a backend built on Supabase, and you own the code, which can sync both ways with GitHub. Bubble is a visual no code platform: you build pages, data types, workflows and privacy rules by hand, publish to the web or as native iOS and Android apps, and the app runs on Bubble with no traditional codebase to export. The choice is mostly about whether you want to describe or to build.
Lovable vs Bubble on lock in
With Lovable you can download the code or keep a GitHub repository in sync, so leaving means hosting the code elsewhere. With Bubble, the FAQ says the app runs on Bubble, with a raw export of application logic as JSON and CSV exports of your data. If you may hand the app to a development team later, that difference matters more than any feature.
Where OneCraft sits between them
OneCraft describes like Lovable and constrains like a builder. You write a brief, and an agent plans pages, writes a foundation, builds in steps and reviews screenshots, on a React Router and shadcn/ui starter for websites or an Expo starter for apps. You cannot edit files directly, and you can download them. It covers what small businesses usually need, with Stripe payments, a mail broker and a database per site.
A fair test
Give all three the same brief, for example a three practitioner physio clinic with bookings and intake forms. Time how long each takes to reach something you could show a patient, then ask each for the same three changes: new opening hours everywhere, a new service, and a dark look. Count the steps and check the result on a phone.
Who should stay with Lovable or Bubble
If you already build on Lovable or Bubble and your project is a product rather than a business website, stay: both are built for general apps, and OneCraft's narrower scope would hold you back. Consider OneCraft when the project is a website or phone app for a local business and you want features, payments and checks handled for you.
Questions people ask
Is Lovable or Bubble better for beginners?
Lovable asks less up front, since you describe the app in plain language, but you need to judge code changes when something goes wrong. Bubble has a steeper learning curve because you build everything visually, yet you can see and fix each part yourself. OneCraft asks the least for a business website, within its narrower scope.
Which one lets me export my code?
Lovable says you own your code, with a direct download and two way GitHub sync. OneCraft offers a zip download of the whole project at any time. Bubble's FAQ says its apps run on the Bubble platform with no traditional codebase to export, though it can provide a JSON export of application logic.
Which is best for a mobile app?
Bubble has a native mobile app builder that publishes to iOS and Android. OneCraft writes Expo apps and builds them for 5 credits each on paid plans, which you submit from your own accounts. Lovable's documentation describes it as a platform for web applications.
Do all three use Supabase?
Lovable's built in backend uses Supabase's open source foundation and supports a Supabase integration. OneCraft uses Supabase too, with a schema per site in its pool or a project on your own Supabase account. Bubble has its own database with privacy rules rather than Supabase.
Which is cheapest?
It depends on use. Bubble lists a free plan and paid plans from $59 a month billed annually, metered in workload units. Lovable lists Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans with credits. OneCraft plans run from $8 to $125 a month with credits for generation and edits, plus a platform fee on payments.
