A Replit Agent alternative for small business websites

Replit Agent builds apps and websites through chat inside a general cloud development platform with built in authentication, database, hosting and monitoring, from 20 USD a month on Core. OneCraft Sites is narrower: an agent writes small business websites and Expo apps on fixed starters, with a Stripe payments broker, a mail broker and layout checks on every build.

The short verdict

Replit is the better pick for building almost any kind of software through an agent, with a full development environment, scheduled jobs, autoscaling deployments, parallel agents and over 100 integrations. OneCraft suits a small business owner who wants a website or phone app and nothing else to learn: the agent works from 65 capability guides, takes payments through a Stripe broker on the owner's account, and every build passes type, lint and layout checks before it finishes.

Where Replit is better

Where OneCraft is different

A general agent or a narrow one

Replit Agent is general: it can build anything a development environment can run, and it tests its work in a browser as it goes. OneCraft's agent is narrow by design. It writes websites on a React Router, Tailwind and shadcn/ui starter, or apps on an Expo starter, with rules for responsive layout and accessibility, and it builds features from guides that already say which tables, rules and screens a booking or an order needs. Narrow means fewer surprises for a plumber or a cafe; general means more reach for a founder.

Where the running costs land

On Replit you pay a plan, model usage through its credits, and deployment resources as your app grows. On OneCraft you pay a plan from $8 to $125 a month and credits for generation and chat, while a published website is a set of files on a CDN. Data lives on OneCraft's pool on every plan, or on your own Supabase plan, and Stripe payments carry a platform fee of 2%, 1% or 0.5% by plan.

Getting a site live

On a paid plan, publishing builds a chosen version and copies it to the CDN at your onecraft.live address. A custom domain needs a TXT record at _onecraft on your host, a CNAME, Verify and a managed certificate; apex hosts need ALIAS or ANAME. Renaming a live site keeps the old address as a redirect for 30 days.

Who should stay with Replit

Stay with Replit if you are building a product or tool that needs servers, jobs or integrations, or you want to code alongside the agent. Move if your project is a small business website or phone app, you want payments and email handled for you, and you would rather not see or run the code.

Questions people ask

Can OneCraft build a SaaS product like Replit can?

Only a simple one. OneCraft can build sign in, plans, subscriptions through Stripe and gated content, but it has no servers to run custom code, background jobs or outside API calls beyond its payment and mail brokers. A software product with its own back end logic fits Replit or a developer better.

Can I see the code OneCraft writes?

You can download the project as a zip at any time and read or host it elsewhere. Inside the builder the files are read only, and every change goes through the AI chat, which builds and checks it and keeps it as a commit you can preview and restore.

Does OneCraft test the site in a browser?

Yes, in two ways. Every build opens each prerendered page in headless Chromium at 375, 768 and 1280 pixels and fails on sideways overflow or runtime errors. After the first green build, a fresh agent reviews the code and the screenshots and returns up to 12 fixes, for at most two rounds.

Which is cheaper for a small business site?

For a plain business site, OneCraft's Starter plan at $8 a month is lower than Replit Core at $20, and a measured website generation used about 14 credits. A hosted database comes with every plan, or you can use your own Supabase project. Replit costs depend on usage and deployment type.

Can I move a Replit project into OneCraft?

No, there is no code import. Describe the site in a brief of up to 3,000 characters, or paste a design reference address, and the agent writes it on its own starter. Data can come across through a CSV import in the admin area if you ask for the csv guide.
