Sign a sales contract online
A sales contract is argued about three pages before the signature page, on the price, the delivery window and the warranty. This four page envelope puts the customer's initials on each of those pages before the execution block, runs a six digit emailed code in front of the whole thing, and finishes with two company blocks side by side on page 4.

The signing journey
Step 1
Five fields, order on, buyer first
The buyer gets an initials spot on pages 1, 2 and 3 plus a block on page 4; the seller gets a block beside it.
Step 2
A code stands in front of the price
Carrying the emailed one-time code, the buyer's link opens a verification card rather than the contract. The code lasts ten minutes and is redeemable once.
Step 3
One drawing, three pages initialled
Tomasz drew once and the portal filled the three initials and the page 4 block from it. He typed his title and company; the Date line stamped itself.
Step 4
The seller countersigns an accepted contract
Delia was invited when the buyer's block landed, and opened a copy already carrying three sets of initials. Her block printed FOR THE SELLER over four lines.

One certified file, two downloads
The listener stamped, certified and emailed the contract to both signers and the sender. The certificate records the buyer on Email link + emailed one-time code.
Every field, and who fills it
Five fields, and three of them are initials on pages nobody could otherwise prove were read. Page one carries the line items and the contract price, page two the payment stages and the delivery window, page three the warranty and what it excludes. Each takes a mark from the buyer. The execution page then takes a block from each company, both showing Name, Title, Company and Date, so it names the two entities as well as the two people. Four lines across the whole contract were typed by hand. The two names came from the recipient records and both dates from the moment each side pressed submit.
How to adapt this envelope
A customer whose board approves above a threshold adds a second buyer side recipient ahead of the seller, and the order then runs signatory, board, seller. An attached specification schedule earns its own initials spot, which costs the buyer nothing because a single drawing fills every spot placed for that recipient. And where both sides are ready in the same hour, turning the order switch off sends both invitations at once and the contract completes as soon as the slower signer finishes.
What the signed contract and certificate show
The signed PDF shows initials near the foot of pages 1, 2 and 3, and two completed blocks on page 4, each with a drawn signature, a typed title and company, and a date reading Sep 12, 2026. The certificate carries the envelope id, both hashes, the two signer entries with their IP addresses and consent times, and the event log from Envelope created to the second Signed. The algorithm line reads PAdES-SHA256-DocMDP, which also tells you no RFC 3161 timestamp was attached.
What makes this signing flow work
The money pages carry their own mark
The line item schedule, the payment stages and the warranty table each sit on a page with the buyer's initials on it, hashed to the same signature image as his block. A dispute about the deposit or the two year warranty runs into a mark on the page that set it.
The blocks name the companies, not just the people
Both blocks have the Company line switched on, so the execution page names Halloway Foods and Brightsea Equipment beside the two individuals. Reading page 4 alone tells you which entity is bound, without going back to the parties clause.
The buyer cannot be countersigned into a contract
Sign in order puts the customer first. The seller's invitation does not exist until the buyer's block is stamped, so every countersigned contract out of this envelope was countersigned over a completed acceptance rather than sent out pre signed.
Questions people ask
Can the buyer initial three pages without drawing three times?
Yes, and that is the reason to place initials at all. One drawing fills the marks on pages one to three and the block on page four together, with the header counting Signature 1 of 4 through 4 of 4 as it scrolls him to each. A longer contract simply takes more spots from the same drawing.
What stops the seller sending a contract it has already signed?
The order switch. With it on, the seller is second and her invitation does not exist until the buyer's block is stamped, so a pre signed contract cannot come out of this envelope. Where that does not matter, turning the switch off invites both at once and either can finish first.
What if the customer declines?
The envelope moves to declined, nothing further is stamped, and the sender gets a Declined email carrying the reason the customer typed. The seller is never invited. A declined envelope can still be voided with a note, and a revised contract goes out fresh.
What is the deadline on the signing link?
Thirty days from the moment the envelope was created, fixed, with no field in the app to shorten or extend it. After that the link reports that the signing request has expired and the seller raises a fresh envelope from the same PDF. A Resend before then issues a new link and retires the old one.
Does the buyer have to initial each page separately?
No. One drawing fills all three initials spots and the page 4 block at once, and the header counts them from Signature 1 of 4 to 4 of 4 while scrolling to each. On a longer contract the same drawing covers as many spots as you place, up to 500 fields.
Can the price be changed after sending?
No. A sent envelope is locked and the editor redirects to the status page from then on. A wrong figure means withdrawing the envelope, which voids the live link and emails the customer that it was withdrawn by the sender, then sending the corrected contract.

Sign a supplier agreement online
A three year supply agreement is signed once and then argued about for three years, usually over the price review mechanism or a missed service level. This envelope puts the supplier's initials on each of the five pages that carry those terms, requires a six digit emailed code from both companies, and finishes with a signature block for each side on page 6.
Sign a master services agreement online
A master services agreement commits nobody to any work, so the pages people actually negotiate are the charges clause and the liability cap. This envelope carries the Ridgeway Data framework from the documents examples with the client's initials on exactly those two pages, an access code shared out of band before the client can open it, and a company block for each side on the execution page.
Sign an order form online
An order form is a quotation waiting for two numbers: the quantity on each line and a signature under it. This envelope turns the Sandbar Safety Supplies quotation into an order by giving the buyer a typed box in each line of the product table, then a signature on the next page, with the account manager countersigning to release the order to the warehouse.
