Restaurant promo video example

This restaurant promo video example announces an opening night in Spanish, vertical for Reels and Stories, with the script, an English gloss and per scene seconds below. La Brasa, a fictional grill house on Calle de Sagunto in Valencia, leads with the fire rather than a logo, shows the food, places itself on a map, and turns the date into its own card before asking for the reservation.

The script, glossed

Scene 1, over the flames: "Abrimos el viernes" (we open on Friday). Scene 2, over the pan: "Hecho al momento" (made to order). Scene 3 is three cards, brasa, tapas, patio, with "carnes y verduras al carbón" and the other one liners beneath (grilled meat and vegetables, plates to share, tables outside). Scene 4 zooms the map into Valencia: "Calle de Sagunto, Valencia, a diez minutos del centro" (ten minutes from the centre). Scene 5 is the date card, "Viernes 18 sep, desde las siete de la tarde" (Friday the 18th, from seven in the evening). Scene 6 asks: "Reserva tu mesa" (reserve your table).

Food first, logo last

The first frame is fire and food under a five word line, and the brand name does not get a scene to itself until the close. That ordering is deliberate for hospitality: nobody shares a logo, everyone shares the pour, the flame, the plate. The photography here is generated food imagery standing in for a fictional venue; a real opening should shoot even ten minutes of phone photos in the kitchen, because the generator takes up to eight images and the scenes that carry them, full bleed with a caption panel, are the ones that earn the booking.

The map and the date each get a scene

Scene 4 is a world map that zooms to a marked point on Valencia with the street in the headline. A map beat does something an address line cannot: it makes the venue feel placed, and for an opening the where is half the news. The map marks cities, not streets, so the street lives in the text while the marker carries the city. Scene 5 then gives the date a card of its own rather than a caption, because "Friday the 18th at seven" is the single fact the whole video exists to deliver. If a viewer remembers one scene, it must be that one.

What makes this video work

The pour comes before the name

Scene 1 is flames and "Abrimos el viernes", not a logo sting. Hospitality promos convert on appetite, and the video spends its first seconds on exactly that.

The map places the venue

Scene 4 zooms into Valencia with Calle de Sagunto in the title and "ten minutes from the centre" on the card. The where is half the news of an opening, so it gets a full beat.

The date is a card, not a caption

Scene 5 prints Vie 18 sep in enormous type with the time beneath. The one fact the video must deliver is the one fact designed to be remembered.

Questions people ask

Which Spanish voices can it use?

The es-ES locale offers all eight director voices, and this example is configured with the energetic male voice. Castilian Spanish is what es-ES means; per scene you can switch voice, language and speed in the voice dialog, or search the wider Google catalogue for a Latin American locale.

Can I use my own food photos?

Yes, up to eight images in the generator, and for a restaurant you absolutely should. The director reads each image and matches its shape to the scene slots, so a wide pan shot, a tall plated dish and a room shot will each land where they fit.

Can the map show my exact street?

No. The map is a world map with named city points, so it zooms to Valencia and marks the city while the street name lives in the scene's headline and card. For a local audience that is enough; the reservation link carries the exact address.

What about alcohol in the ad?

This script sells the grill and the patio and shows no drinks, which keeps it clear of alcohol advertising codes that restrict how drinking can be portrayed, especially to younger audiences. If your opening promotes drinks, check the self regulation code for your market first; Spain's is run by Autocontrol.

Is 9:16 right for an opening promo?

Yes. Reels, TikTok and Stories are where a neighbourhood audience actually sees it, and the same export serves all three. If you also want the video on a site or a screen in the window, switch the format to landscape and the scenes reflow, with edits kept per format.

Can I re-export it for each platform?

One vertical MP4 serves Reels, TikTok and Shorts as is, since all three take 9:16 video. A re-export of unchanged content reuses the already rendered file rather than paying for a new render, so posting the same cut across three platforms costs nothing extra.
