A GoodBarber alternative: Expo apps with their own database
GoodBarber sells content and shop apps by plan, from 30 euros a month billed yearly, with native iPhone and Android apps from the Premium plan and paid extensions for sign in, chat and memberships. OneCraft has an agent write an Expo app from a brief, with sign in and a database built in, from $8 a month.

The short verdict
GoodBarber is the better pick for a publisher or shop that wants a polished content or commerce app from a mature builder, with a content management system, push quotas, extensions to switch on and a service that publishes to the stores. OneCraft suits an owner who wants the app's features written around the business, with its own database and sign in included rather than added per extension, at a lower monthly price.

Where GoodBarber is better
A content system built in
GoodBarber ships a content management system for articles, video, podcasts, events, maps and photos. OneCraft's agent writes such features as code when you ask, so there is no ready made editor for each content type.
Push quotas and a publishing service
GoodBarber includes push notification quotas from 10,000 a month and offers a service that handles App Store and Google Play publication. OneCraft does not submit apps.
A long term licence
GoodBarber sells Pro as a one-time licence covering 10 years of service. OneCraft is monthly only.
Where OneCraft is different
Sign in and data without extensions
When the app needs accounts or stored data, the agent turns on a Supabase backend with email, password and Google sign in, and writes the tables with row level security.
Native builds on the lowest paid plan
Expo test and store builds for iPhone and Android are available from Starter at $8 a month, 5 credits per build. There is no web only tier.
Written around your business
An agent plans screens and tabs for your brief, such as reservations and author events for a bookshop, instead of fitting the business into a fixed app layout.
PWA tier against native builds
GoodBarber's Standard plan covers the web as a progressive web app, and native App Store and Google Play apps start at Premium, 55 euros a month billed yearly for content apps. OneCraft writes a native Expo app on every plan, and on any paid plan runs Expo test and store builds for 5 credits each. A website that customers can install from the browser is a separate OneCraft website project with the pwa guide.
Extensions against capability guides
GoodBarber adds features as extensions, several of them paid each month: Authentication, Chat, Memberships and, for shops, abandoned orders or delivery slots. OneCraft's agent writes features from 65 capability guides, so sign in, bookings or a wishlist cost credits to generate rather than a monthly add-on, and they live in the app's own database.
Who publishes
GoodBarber Takes Care handles publication for you. With OneCraft you submit with eas submit from your own developer accounts: Apple charges 99 USD a year and Google Play 25 USD once, and a new personal Google Play account tests with 12 people for 14 days first.
Who should stay with GoodBarber
Stay with GoodBarber if you publish a lot of content, want a store publishing service and push campaigns, or prefer a long term licence. Move if you want the app's features built for your business with data and sign in included, native builds on the cheapest paid plan, and code you can download.
Questions people ask
Can a OneCraft app sell products?
Yes, when the agent builds a catalog and orders from the guides into the app's own database, with card payments through Stripe Checkout on your own connected Stripe account. There is no built-in store screen or shipping settings page; what the agent writes is what the app has.
Does OneCraft have a content editor like a CMS?
No separate editor. Content is either written into the app's code, changed through chat, or stored in database tables that the agent can give an admin screen. An Admin tab is shown only to people listed in the app's site_admins table.
Which currency are OneCraft prices in?
OneCraft's plans are $0, $8, $25 and $125 a month, with monthly prices only and no annual price. GoodBarber shows prices in euros, dollars, pounds and other currencies depending on where you are. Stripe's own processing fees and currency conversion rules apply to card payments.
Can my app and website share data?
Yes. An app can be based on one of your OneCraft websites, and then reads the website's database as well as its colours, fonts and content. A bookshop could take reservations on the website and show them in the app.
Is my data locked into OneCraft?
The database is Supabase: either a schema in OneCraft's pool or a project on your own Supabase account. Migrations and a schema file are written into the app's repository, which downloads as a zip, so the structure travels with the code.
