A Pictory alternative for short promo videos

If your videos are short promos rather than long articles turned into footage, OneCraft is a Pictory alternative that composes scenes from a brief, with a voice, captions and a few stock clips. Pictory stays ahead for long scripts, blog and audio to video, AI avatars and a far bigger stock library.

The short verdict

Pictory suits people turning scripts, blog posts, slides and recordings into longer videos, with millions of Getty Images and Storyblocks clips, AI avatars, voice cloning and editing by text. OneCraft suits people who want a short composed promo, tutorial or UGC style clip from a brief, with scenes laid out for them, a matched voice, captions, and a few stock clips where they help.

Pricing in plain terms

Checked 29 September 2026. Pictory's pricing page lists Starter at $25 a month billed annually or $29 monthly, Professional at $35 annually or $59 monthly, Team at $119 annually or $199 monthly, and custom Enterprise pricing. OneCraft's pricing page lists Free at $0 with 100 credits a month, Starter at $8 a month with 500 credits, Pro at $25 a month with 1,500 credits, Pro+ at $125 a month with 7,500 credits, and a custom Enterprise plan. A video generation uses about 20 credits; an export bills its render time, and 4K export needs Starter.

Moving across

Pictory projects cannot be imported. Paste your script's key points into the OneCraft brief, which takes up to 10,000 characters, and attach up to 8 images and 5 documents; the director recomposes it as scenes. Clips you own can be uploaded as MP4, WebM or MOV files and placed on clip scenes.

What could not be checked

Pictory's pricing page does not state a maximum video length, export resolution or free trial limits, so none of those appear in the table. Its stock counts, 5 million and 18 million videos, and its voice minutes are quoted as written on that page.

How the OneCraft side was verified

Every OneCraft cell names a row in an internal fact ledger checked against the product's source code: the 52 roles and 410 scenes in the video catalogue, the 56 mapped voice languages, the Pexels footage step in the generation prompt and tools, the scene budgets per length and the export credit rules. Stock footage is described as a supporting step because that is how the generation prompt uses it.

Who should stay with Pictory

Stay with Pictory if you turn long scripts, blog posts, slides or recordings into video, if you need Getty or Storyblocks footage in volume, if you edit by transcript, or if avatars and voice clones are part of your output. OneCraft is for short composed promos, tutorials and UGC clips.

Questions people ask

Does OneCraft have stock footage like Pictory?

Yes, on a smaller scale. A promo generation searches Pexels and places one to three stock clips for the human side of the story, and every clip scene in the builder has a stock footage search. Pictory's plans carry 5 to 18 million Getty Images and Storyblocks videos, so its library is far larger.

Can OneCraft turn a blog post into a video?

Not as a dedicated import. You can paste the article's key points into the brief, up to 10,000 characters, or attach it as a document, which is summarised before the director writes the video. The result is a short composed promo, not a scene per paragraph.

What is the longest video OneCraft generates?

The long length targets about 30 seconds across 6 to 12 scenes, the standard about 18 seconds and the short about 10. UGC videos stay under 30 seconds. OneCraft is built for promos, tutorials and social clips, so long form narrated videos are a better fit for Pictory.

Which languages can OneCraft narrate in?

56 languages have a mapped Google voice, 53 of them with Chirp3-HD and three on an older Wavenet tier. A language without a mapped voice gets no voiceover at all, though the on screen text is still written in it. Pictory lists ElevenLabs voices in 29 languages.

Are OneCraft captions generated from my audio?

No. Captions are built from the narration text the director writes, typed on as each word is spoken, and you can switch them off per scene. OneCraft does not transcribe an uploaded recording, which Pictory's audio to video and caption tools do.

Does exporting a OneCraft video cost credits?

An export bills its render time, usually a small amount, and new narration is billed by length, roughly 3 credits a minute of speech. Re exporting unchanged content reuses the earlier MP4 without a second charge. 4K export needs the Starter plan.
