The short verdict

Tithely is the better pick for a church that wants giving, text giving, kids check-in, church management, an app and a website from one church software company, with a free giving tier and a flat All Access price. OneCraft suits a church that wants a website or app written around its own ministries and events, with gifts going to its own Stripe account and a lower monthly price.

Where Tithely is better

Where OneCraft is different

What a small church pays

Tithely's website costs $19 a month and its church app $89, or both and more in All Access at $119 a month, with card gifts at 2.9% plus 30 cents. OneCraft Starter is $8 a month for 3 sites, Pro $25 for 10; the church pays Stripe's processing fees on gifts and OneCraft keeps a platform fee of 2% on Starter, 1% on Pro or 0.5% on Pro+. Work through a typical month of giving to see which costs less.

Giving that matches the church

On OneCraft the agent can build one-off gifts and monthly giving from a plans table, with donors able to change their card in the Stripe billing portal. A fund choice, such as general or missions, is part of what the brief describes, and the gifts are recorded in the site's database once the Stripe webhook marks them paid.

Keeping members informed

Tithely includes email and text messaging. OneCraft offers an admin newsletter to confirmed subscribers, 500 at most per send, and the agent can build announcements and an events page. There is no SMS, so churches that rely on text reminders should keep a texting tool.

Who should stay with Tithely

Stay with Tithely if your church needs check-in, planning and text messaging alongside giving, wants giving with no monthly fee, or prefers one church specific vendor. Move if you want a site written around your ministries, gifts paid straight to your Stripe account, and a monthly bill under Tithely's website and app prices combined.

Questions people ask

Can donors cover the processing fee on OneCraft?

No such option is listed for OneCraft sites. Prices are read from the site's database, so any amount a donor chooses is charged as one Stripe Checkout payment. Tithely's page says 60% of its donors choose to cover fees. Ask the agent for a suggested gift that includes fees if you want one.

Does OneCraft issue giving statements?

Statements are not listed among the product's facts. Gifts are recorded in the site's own database and in the church's Stripe account, where reports and exports are available for the treasurer. An admin area can also list gifts by donor for the treasurer to check, built by the agent from the brief, and the CSV capability can export them for the end of year.

Can members log in to see their giving?

The agent can build sign in with email and password or Google, and pages that show a signed in member their own rows. Row level security on each table keeps one member from seeing another's records. The agent checks those rules as an anonymous visitor and as a signed in person before the build step can finish.

Can we try it before paying?

Yes. The free plan has 100 credits a month to generate and preview a site. Publishing, a custom domain and card payments need a paid plan from $8 a month. The church can generate the site, click through every page in the preview and only pay once it is ready to go live.

Will the app be in our church's name?

Yes. You submit it from your own Apple and Google developer accounts, so the listing carries your church's name. Apple charges 99 USD a year and Google Play 25 USD once for those accounts. A new personal Google Play account also needs a closed test with 12 people for 14 days before release.
