Questions people ask
What does the bookkeeping fee cover?
Monthly bookkeeping at $550 for 12 months, payroll at $220 a month, four activity statements at $380 each and year end accounts with the tax return at $2,400. A backlog catch-up at $1,800 is optional for a client whose books are behind. The sample year totals $14,476 with GST.
What happens if the business grows?
The changes to scope clause says that if transaction volume or headcount grows by more than 25 percent, you agree a revised monthly fee in writing from the following month. It protects a fixed fee from quietly becoming an hourly rate as the client takes on staff.
Who is responsible for the accuracy of records?
The client. The records and responsibility clause asks for access to bank feeds, invoices and receipts by the fifth of each month and says lodgements are prepared from the records supplied. Review the wording with your own professional obligations in mind before you send it.
How is the work scheduled through the year?
Setup and the backlog run over weeks one to three, the first monthly close is in month one, the first activity statement is at quarter end and year end accounts land within three months of year end. The approach section repeats this as setup, monthly, quarterly and year end steps.
Can I write it in another currency or tax label?
Yes. The template is in AUD with GST, but the generator brief takes a currency and the Pricing panel holds the tax label and rate. When no currency is given the AI uses AUD, and the tax label follows the currency: GST for AUD and NZD, VAT for GBP and EUR, otherwise Tax.
