Dutch AI voiceover
Type Dutch and the video's script is written and voiced in Netherlands Dutch, using one of eight nl-NL characters across four reading styles. A Flemish read is not the default; the per-scene catalogue search is where nl-BE voices are found.

Netherlands Dutch, unless you intervene
Dutch maps to nl-NL, and the eight automatic voices all carry that accent. For a Belgian audience the difference is audible, and the answer sits one dialog away: each scene's voice picker searches the live Google catalogue, where nl-BE voices are listed, and a swap on a scene affects that scene only. The script the director writes is standard Dutch either way, so a Flemish flavour in vocabulary needs to be requested in the brief. The brief itself can be in any language; the Language field alone fixes what the video speaks and shows.
Choosing among the four reading styles
Puck and Laomedeia give the quick bright delivery for ads and social clips; a webshop sale announcement belongs to them. Charon and Erinome are the deliberate explainers, and any tutorial is forced onto them by a fixed rule, so an app walkthrough cannot end up with the ad voice by accident. Umbriel and Sulafat suit the local business register, direct but friendly, which fits how Dutch small businesses actually talk. Iapetus and Aoede handle the flat corporate read. Style plus a male or female pick is the director's whole casting decision, revisable per scene.
Timing behaviour you will notice
Dutch sits close to English in information density, so scenes rarely stretch dramatically, but every scene still grows to fit its clip when needed, and in the dynamic pace an overrunning line continues across the next cut instead of squeezing. Each scene exposes a start delay in seconds and five speed steps between 0.85x and 1.25x. Background music self-regulates, dropping to 22 percent of its level whenever the voice speaks and easing back afterwards, so a narration-heavy video needs no mixing work at all.
Text habits that improve the read
Give numbers their spoken form when it matters: tweeënnegentig is unambiguous where 92 leaves room for a mechanical read, and prices do best written out. There is no phonetic input, so a French or English name in a Dutch sentence is corrected by respelling it until the voice lands, and Dutch spelling is flexible enough that this usually takes one try. Sentence punctuation drives caption cuts and intonation both. The em dash is banned from generated narration by the writing rules; a comma or a fresh sentence serves the same rhythm without confusing the pacing.
Captions in this script
Dutch is typographically gentle: the ij digraph and the occasional trema, as in geïnteresseerd, are ordinary Latin glyphs that all catalogue fonts include, so captions never fall back regardless of look. Words illuminate one at a time as the voice reaches them, timed from the actual audio, inside the fixed dark pill. Dutch compounds can get long, klantenservicemedewerker being a single caption word, and the 48 character sentence limit then splits a line into two cues sooner than English writers expect.
Questions people ask
Which Dutch voices are on offer?
Eight nl-NL voices in four style pairs: Puck and Laomedeia for energy, Charon and Erinome for instruction, Umbriel and Sulafat for warmth, Iapetus and Aoede for neutral delivery. The per-scene search over the full Google catalogue adds Belgian Dutch and everything else the live catalogue holds.
Can I brief in English for a Dutch video?
Yes, that is the intended flow. Set the Language field to Dutch and every narrated line and on-screen headline comes out in Dutch, written natively rather than translated from your brief. Sentences that must appear exactly, a slogan or a discount condition, belong in the brief in Dutch.
Are captions generated in Dutch?
Automatically, per scene, from the narration text itself, so spelling is exact and the ij never breaks. Words light up in sync with the voice using timing measured on the finished clip. Captions default to on; the voice dialog per scene turns them off where they would duplicate visible text.
How do I change how a word is pronounced?
Respell it in the scene's narration box and regenerate the clip. That is the entire mechanism, since no phonetic notation is supported. Each regeneration costs about half a credit, so make the respelling count by saying it aloud first. Remember the caption shows your respelled version on that scene.
What does the voiceover cost in credits?
Narration is billed by length, roughly 3 credits a minute of speech and at least half a credit per clip, and nothing for edits around it. An export bills its render time, usually a small amount; longer than 30 seconds, or with narration still to generate at export time, it needs at least 1 credit left. Preview playback in the builder is always free.

French AI voiceover
A French AI voiceover means the director scripts your video in French and one of eight fr-FR voices reads it, metropolitan accent, with narration billed by its length. Canadian French is not the default here, though the catalogue search reaches fr-CA when you need it.
Polish AI voiceover
A Polish AI voiceover starts with one word in the Language field: the director writes the full script in Polish and one of eight pl-PL voices reads it. Ogonki and kreski are safe in every look, and each clip is billed by the length of its line.
Czech AI voiceover
Czech in the Language field hands the whole script to a cs-CZ voice, one of eight covering everything from an upbeat spot to a flat corporate read. The director writes the Czech, the captions mirror it exactly, and synthesis is billed by the length of each line.
