French AI voiceover
A French AI voiceover means the director scripts your video in French and one of eight fr-FR voices reads it, metropolitan accent, with narration billed by its length. Canadian French is not the default here, though the catalogue search reaches fr-CA when you need it.
The French voices, with samples
Each sample reads the same line so you can compare them fairly.

What typing French actually selects
One word in the Language field makes two decisions at once. The director now writes every narration line and every on-screen headline in French, whatever language your brief arrived in, and the synthesiser is locked to the fr-FR locale, because a premium voice's name embeds its locale and cannot cross it. Québécois French is therefore a manual step: plan the video as French, then use any scene's voice dialog to search the live catalogue for an fr-CA voice and apply it. The written script stays metropolitan unless your brief asks for Canadian phrasing explicitly.
Reading styles and when each is cast
Four styles exist in male and female form. Puck and Laomedeia push energy for ads and social spots; a UGC style video defaults to them too. Charon and Erinome deliver the measured instructional read, and a tutorial cannot be given anything else, since the energetic pair is blocked for tutorials at the code level. Umbriel and Sulafat suit the boutique, the café, the testimonial. Iapetus and Aoede are for the neutral corporate register. The full voice identifier looks like fr-FR-Chirp3-HD-Sulafat, which is a useful thing to recognise in the voice dialog's search results.
Pace, pauses and the music underneath
French takes noticeably longer than English to say the same thing, and scene timing accounts for it by stretching each scene to its audio rather than truncating the voice. Where you want air, give a scene a start delay in seconds; where the read drags, nudge the speed anywhere from 0.85x to 1.25x, in the steps the dialog offers. An ellipsis at the end of a sentence buys a natural pause. The soundtrack ducks itself to 22 percent whenever narration plays, easing in and out over a dozen frames, so a talky video never needs its music manually keyframed.
Getting numbers and names spoken correctly
Write out any number whose spoken form you care about, quatre-vingt-quinze euros rather than 95 €, since French numerals invite exactly the hesitations you would expect. Liaison is handled well by the voices, but foreign names are not guaranteed: respell them in the narration until the read is right, because no phonetic control exists. Punctuation earns its keep twice, shaping the intonation and cutting the caption cues. One quiet rule from the prompt: generated narration never contains an em dash, and adding one by hand mostly produces an awkward gap where a comma would flow.
Captions in this script
French captions light up word by word in step with the voice, timed from the clip itself rather than estimated. Every accented character French uses, é, è, ê, ç, œ and the rest, ships in each catalogue font's Latin extension, so any look renders them cleanly. The pill is a fixed dark panel holding white text, pinned above the safe margin, 44 pixels on landscape and 120 on vertical. French elision means many short words; the pill spaces them naturally, but a sentence past 48 characters splits into a second cue, so tight sentences caption best.

Questions people ask
Which French voices can I pick from?
Eight fr-FR voices are cast automatically by style and gender: Puck, Laomedeia, Charon, Erinome, Umbriel, Sulafat, Iapetus and Aoede. They cover energetic, instructional, warm and neutral registers. The scene-level voice search then opens the whole Google catalogue, which is where Canadian French and other locales are found.
Can the brief stay in English?
Yes. Write the brief however you like and set the Language field to French; the director translates nothing, it simply writes original French narration and on-screen copy from your facts. If specific French wording matters, the tagline on your storefront for example, put it in the brief and it will be used as given.
Are French captions automatic?
Each scene's captions are generated from its French narration text, on by default, with per-word timing taken from the finished clip. Because they come from text, accents and œ ligatures are always exact. The voice dialog per scene has the off switch when a caption would repeat the headline already on screen.
How do I correct a mispronunciation?
Respelling is the mechanism: rewrite the word in that scene's narration the way it should sound, then regenerate the clip for about half a credit. English brand names inside French sentences are the usual case, and a hyphenated respelling that mimics French syllables tends to work on the first or second try.
What will the narration cost me?
Narration is billed by length, about 1 credit per 330 characters with a minimum of half a credit per clip, typically one clip per narrated scene. Re-recording after a text change is billed again for that clip only. Exports bill their render time, usually a small amount; longer videos, or ones with narration still pending, need at least 1 credit left to start.

Italian AI voiceover
With Italian in the Language field, the director scripts the entire video in Italian and casts one of eight it-IT voices to read it. Style and gender come from your brief's tone, the captions come from the same text, and narration is billed by the length of each line.
Czech AI voiceover
Czech in the Language field hands the whole script to a cs-CZ voice, one of eight covering everything from an upbeat spot to a flat corporate read. The director writes the Czech, the captions mirror it exactly, and synthesis is billed by the length of each line.
Dutch AI voiceover
Type Dutch and the video's script is written and voiced in Netherlands Dutch, using one of eight nl-NL characters across four reading styles. A Flemish read is not the default; the per-scene catalogue search is where nl-BE voices are found.
