Tamil AI voiceover
Tamil narration uses the ta-IN locale with its full set of eight premium voices, the director writing every spoken and on-screen line in Tamil. Tamil's long words shape caption wrapping, and the script itself renders via a fallback font, detailed below.
The Tamil voices, with samples
Each sample reads the same line so you can compare them fairly.

Tamil in, Tamil out, from any brief
The Language field's Tamil entry locks the ta-IN locale and instructs the director to compose narration and on-screen copy in Tamil natively; briefs in English are typical, contributing facts rather than sentences. The written register lands close to spoken Chennai standard unless your brief steers elsewhere, and Sri Lankan phrasing can be requested the same way, though the voices themselves remain ta-IN. Text you quote in Tamil inside the brief, a shop name in script or a festival greeting, survives verbatim into the video.
The eight-voice cast and its rules
Tamil carries every premium character. Puck and Laomedeia bring energy for offer promos and social spots; Charon and Erinome read instructions patiently, and tutorials are permanently assigned to them by a rule in the casting code; Umbriel and Sulafat warm up testimonials and food businesses; Iapetus and Aoede handle corporate announcements. The director settles style and gender from your brief, that voice becomes the video's default, and any scene can swap through its voice dialog, where the whole live Google catalogue is searchable.
Long words, wrapping, and time
A single Tamil word can carry what an English clause does, so lines are visually long even when spoken quickly, and both systems adapt: scenes stretch to their audio, dynamic pace flows an overrun across the next cut, and captions split oversized sentences into successive cues. Per scene, a delay in seconds holds the voice for a beat, speed steps run 0.85x to 1.25x, and a shortened line beats both controls. The music bed self-ducks to 22 percent while the voice speaks, ramping gently at both edges, so mixing is never your job.
Making the voice say it right
Respelling in the narration box is the pronunciation mechanism, about half a credit per regenerated clip, and Tamil's syllabic script makes respellings converge quickly; English brand names inside Tamil lines usually want their vowels pinned in Tamil letters. Write numbers as words when the reading matters, ஐநூறு ரூபாய் rather than ₹500, because digits leave the engine choosing. Sentence punctuation cuts the caption cues, so a full stop is also a caption edit. The em dash is excluded from generated narration by prompt rule, and manual edits do better on commas.
Captions in this script
Tamil writes with spaces, so captions type on word by word as the voice reaches each one, timed against the clip itself. The script's glyphs, however, come from the render host's fallback font, because no family in the font catalogue includes Tamil; letters and vowel signs render correctly but in a style detached from the look's Latin type. Tamil's agglutinative words run long, and since the pill splits sentences past 48 characters into a second cue, a formal register captions restlessly; conversational Tamil with short sentences keeps the pill stable. Check one render, and disable a scene's caption where it fights the design.
Questions people ask
Which Tamil voices can I choose?
Eight ta-IN voices in style pairs: Puck and Laomedeia energetic, Charon and Erinome instructional, Umbriel and Sulafat warm, Iapetus and Aoede neutral. The pair suits the video type, and beyond them each scene's voice dialog searches the entire Google catalogue, where more Tamil voices exist in other tiers.
Does my brief have to be in Tamil?
No. Selecting Tamil as the Language makes the director write the whole script, spoken and on-screen, in Tamil, whatever language the brief is in. It writes fresh Tamil rather than translating your sentences. Quote in the brief anything that must appear exactly as given.
How do Tamil captions look on screen?
They time word by word with the voice, since Tamil uses spaces, but the glyphs come from a fallback font because no catalogue family ships Tamil. That means correct, readable letters in a style that will not match the look. One render check, plus the per-scene caption toggle, covers the risk.
What fixes a bad pronunciation?
Rewrite the word in Tamil letters that force the intended sound, then regenerate the clip for about half a credit. This is the only pronunciation control, and it is dependable given the script's phonetic nature. The caption reflects your respelling, so hide it on that scene if the spelling looks odd.
What will Tamil narration cost?
Narration is billed by length, generally one clip per narrated scene, so an eight scene video with short lines throughout runs about four credits. Editing between generations is free. Exports bill their render time, usually a small amount, and need at least 1 credit left past 30 seconds or with clips pending.
