Black Friday flyer
Black Friday 2026 lands on Friday 27 November, and Cairn & Creek is running it as a four day event closing on Monday 30 November. The discount is the easy part. The hard part is fitting the opening hour, the online code, the quantity on the deepest tier and the things left out onto one page without burying any of them. These three designs each answer that differently.
The 3 designs
The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

What makes these work
The dark poster trades detail for distance
Three stacked words and three short lines, nothing else. It is built to be read from across a road or a feed at thumbnail size, so it carries the opening hour, the code and the closing date and drops everything a shopper can look up later.
The breakdown puts the three numbers where the eye lands
Six am, four days, thirty tents, sitting in a band of their own between the category cards and the footer. A percentage tells somebody how good the deal is. Those three numbers tell them whether it is worth setting an alarm, which is the decision the flyer is actually asking for.
The numbered sheet is the one that can afford honesty
Three paragraphs of room, so the midnight opening is given in AEDT with what that means in Perth, the code is described as one use and not stackable, and gift cards, hire gear and repairs are named as excluded. Trying that on the poster would have cost it the headline.
Questions people ask
When is Black Friday 2026, and when should the sale close?
Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Most Australian retailers now run the whole block as one four day event rather than a single day, which is why these flyers give a start and a finish rather than a date. Whatever you choose, print the closing time, because a discount with no end stops reading as a discount.
Does a Black Friday flyer need a time zone on it?
If the offer opens online at midnight, yes. Late November is daylight saving season, so midnight AEDT in Melbourne is three hours ahead of Perth and half an hour ahead of Adelaide. A flyer that says from midnight and nothing else sends every west coast customer to a page that is not live yet.
Where do the exclusions go on the page?
Somewhere as readable as the claim they qualify. The ACCC treats fine print that contradicts the headline as the breach itself, so a design that shouts storewide and hides the excluded brands at the bottom is in trouble. Here the exclusions sit in the dark banner of the second design and in point three of the third, both at body size.
Can one design carry both the in store and the online offer?
It can, as long as each line says which one it belongs to. The breakdown design does it with two separate lines, doors open 6am at Collingwood and online from midnight with the code, rather than one merged sentence. Merging them is how a customer ends up asking for the online code at the counter.

Winter sale flyer
Kestrel Ridge Outfitters sells insulation to a town that sits at 435 metres, and its stocktake runs four days over the Kings Birthday long weekend. One flyer splits the shop into four categories with a discount against each. One works as a checklist of what a June kit actually contains. The third exists because the holiday falls on a different date in almost every state and the shop would rather print the Victorian one than assume.
Sale flyer
Wick & Loom is a linen and homewares shop with one ten day sale to advertise, and here it is as three separate flyers. Same dates, same stock, three ways of putting it: one that opens with a photograph of a made bed, one that lays four products out with the old price beside the new one, and one plain sheet that hands the customer the conditions in readable type.
Valentines Day flyer
Three Valentines flyers for a Hobart jeweller who makes what it sells. The first puts one ring and one price on the page, the second photographs four gifts from $260 to $980 with the lead time on each, and the third sells the made to order ring in three finishes. Every price appears on more than one sheet and they agree.
