End of financial year sale flyer
Every end of financial year flyer in the country leads with a percentage. Calder Workspace fits offices out, so the number that actually decides whether a buyer orders is not the discount, it is the date a desk has to be built and standing in the room. All three of these designs are organised around 12 June and 30 June, and the reductions come second.
The 3 designs
The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

What makes these work
The cut off date is the call to action
The button on the announcement reads ORDER BY 12 JUNE, not SHOP NOW. A buyer with a budget to spend already knows they want to spend it. What they do not know is how late they can leave the order and still have the furniture standing in the room in time.
The stat sheet gives the two dates equal weight
Twelve June and thirty June sit side by side at the same size, with one line each explaining what happens on that day. Printing only the thirtieth is how a supplier ends up with a truck full of flat packs and a customer who cannot claim any of it.
The quiet sheet is where the disclaimer lives
Ex GST for ABN holders, the installed and ready for use rule, and a plain sentence saying this is general information rather than tax advice. A claim about what a buyer will be able to deduct is a claim about a future matter, and that needs room the poster does not have.
Questions people ask
What is the real deadline on an end of financial year offer?
The Australian financial year ends on 30 June, but for a depreciating asset the test is the date it is first used or installed ready for use, not the date on the invoice. Furniture delivered and still boxed in a corridor on 30 June is arguable at best. That is why the flyer prints an order by date roughly two and a half weeks earlier.
Can the flyer name the instant asset write off amount?
Only if you have checked it for the year you are advertising. The ATO limit was $20,000 per asset for the 2023 to 2024, 2024 to 2025 and 2025 to 2026 income years, for businesses with an aggregated turnover under $10 million, and it applies per asset rather than per business. The published table stops at 30 June 2026, so anything later has to be confirmed before it goes on a page.
Should the prices be ex GST or including GST?
A price representation made by one business exclusively to another body corporate sits outside the single price rule, which is why trade flyers show ex GST. The moment the same flyer is letterboxed or posted publicly it stops being that, and a GST inclusive single price has to appear at least as prominently. Showing both is the safe version.
What does a business buyer need on the paperwork?
A tax invoice carrying your ABN. For a sale of $1,000 or more it also has to identify the buyer or carry their ABN, which matters because most fitout orders clear that. A tax invoice has to be supplied within 28 days of a request, and a PDF emailed on delivery counts.

Weekly deals flyer
Ferngate Meats rewrites its board every Monday at 7am, which means the flyer has to be reprintable in ten minutes and readable from the footpath. Three versions do it differently: a photo led sheet that explains how the week works, a four panel grid that puts a price per kilogram against every category, and an explainer that teaches a shopper to buy on the small number rather than the big one.
Loyalty program flyer
Copperline runs the simplest loyalty scheme there is, a paper card with ten stamps, and the flyers lean into that rather than apologising for it. One is a poster built around the card itself. One maps the six things a card holder gets, including two that have nothing to do with stamps. The third prints the entire terms of the scheme on one page, with the date they were adopted, so there is no link that can quietly change.
Electronics sale flyer
Rangeview Audio & Vision clears its demonstration room over three weeks, and every unit in the sale has already been switched on in front of a customer. Three flyers cover it. A floor stock sheet defines what marked down means before it names a single price. A quote sheet carries the old price, the number left and the cost of delivery and set up. A four step page explains what happens if something bought in the sale stops working.
