Ninepin makes one garment at a time and stops when the roll of cloth runs out. Drop 04 is 120 waxed chore jackets cut from a single 12 ounce British roll, sewn in Brisbane, and numbered inside the placket. When the last one goes there is no second run in this cloth, and no waiting list for one.

What makes these work

The poster is one object and one number

A jacket on a bare rail, drop 04, 120 made. No model, no lifestyle, no second product competing for the eye. When the whole proposition is that there are 120 of something, the design that survives is the one that shows the something and counts it.

The lookbook explains why the number is 120

One roll of cloth yields about 120 jackets in this pattern. That sentence turns an arbitrary scarcity claim into a manufacturing fact, and it is followed immediately by the admission that no restock in the same cloth is coming, which is the part most drop marketing leaves out.

The rules page makes the queue and the website equal

Both open at 10am from the same stock count, both hold to two per person, and both cancel and refund the resale orders. Printing that stops the footpath queue believing the site got first pick and stops the site believing the queue did.

Questions people ask

Is it legal to advertise a product with very limited stock?

It is, provided the shortage is disclosed. Advertising a price on goods that are unavailable or available only in very limited quantities is misleading, but the ACCC is explicit that it is not misleading where the business is upfront and clear that the product is in short supply or on sale for a limited time. Naming the run size on the poster is the cleanest possible disclosure.

Does a thirty day returns promise replace consumer guarantees?

No, and the lookbook says so. A change of mind window is a voluntary policy that sits on top of the guarantees, which cover faults for a period based on what is reasonable for the product rather than a number a seller picks. A jacket that fails in month four is a guarantee matter even though the thirty days have long gone.

Can a seller cancel resale orders?

Yes, if the rule is published before the sale and applied the same way to everyone. These flyers state the two per person limit on the lookbook and the rules page so nobody meets it for the first time at checkout, and they promise that resale and extra orders are refunded in full. The shop and the website hold the same limit, so neither channel is favoured.

How do you show that a limited run is really limited?

Give the number a reason. The poster prints 120 made, the lookbook explains that one 12 ounce roll of cloth yields about 120 jackets in this pattern, and the rules page adds that each jacket is numbered inside the placket from one to 120. A count with a cause and a serial number is something a buyer can check, which a bare limited edition line is not.

Can the drop mechanics be a diagram?

Yes, and the how it runs design already is one. Diagrams are one of the element sections, with twelve tiles including cycle, funnel and five forces, so a release process with numbered steps has a shape available. A queue and a release time read far better drawn than written.

Which size suits an Instagram story countdown?

Instagram Story at 1080 by 1920, native for all three designs. Add a page at that size and the tall version comes in with the drop date carried across by slot. Style changes do not follow between sizes, because style overrides are stored per canvas size, so check the colours before exporting.
