Roofing flyer example with a free inspection and restoration price
A roofing flyer works best when it lands before the problem is visible, so it has to sell an inspection rather than a repair. These three designs for Tallowbark Roofing, a fictional crew in North Geelong, lead with a free roof inspection, put the $4,900 restoration price in writing and show the same roof before and after.
The 3 designs
The same business laid out three ways, on three templates and three colour themes. Every price, name and time on these was written for this example, so you can judge the layouts on real content rather than placeholder text.

The three designs
The checklist design is the letterbox flyer. A roof photo, a diagonal headline band reading "Free Roof Check", a short about paragraph, two service rows and a four line checklist of the proof points: free inspection, 10 year warranty, registration number and ABN. The before and after design is the one for social media, because the two photos tell the story at thumbnail size and the price is the biggest number on the page. The photo and three services design uses the full headline "Leaks fixed before the storm" and three cards for leak repairs, restoration and registration, which makes it the best handout for a hardware store counter or a real estate agent passing it to new owners.
What this flyer must carry
The offer (a free inspection with a same day photo report), the price anchor (restoration from $4,900 for a single storey tiled roof up to 180 square metres, GST included), the guarantee (10 years on workmanship), the service area (Geelong and the Bellarine) and the registration line. In Victoria, roof plumbing work such as flashings, gutters and valleys is regulated plumbing work, so the flyer prints a roof plumber registration number, here the fictional BPC 107345. Finish with a phone number and one call to action, booked before storm season.
How to adapt this flyer
For a metal roof business, keep the before and after layout and swap the tile photos for rusted sheeting and a new Colorbond style roof, with a per square metre reroof price. For gutter and downpipe replacement, use the checklist design and put the per metre price in the stat panel instead of the free inspection. For storm damage work after an event, change the headline to the response time and add the insurance claim help line, because a homeowner with a tarp on the roof is choosing on speed and paperwork.
What makes these work
The free inspection is the headline, not the footnote
The checklist design makes "Free Roof Check" the headline and gives its stat panel to "$0 for the roof inspection". Nobody books a $4,900 restoration from a flyer, but plenty of people will let someone look at a roof for free, and that visit is where the restoration gets sold.
Before and after on the same page
The second design pairs a mossy, cracked tile roof with a finished one and the caption "Same roof, five days apart". Roofing is invisible from the ground, so the photo pair does the explaining that a list of services cannot, and the $4,900 price sits directly between the two pictures.
The warranty is stated as a number of years
All three designs say "10 year workmanship warranty" in full. A roof is a long purchase, and a warranty period is the one detail that tells a homeowner how confident the roofer is in their own work. "Guaranteed" without a number would read as a slogan.
Questions people ask
What should a roofing flyer offer to get the first call?
An inspection, not a repair. Most homeowners do not know their roof has a problem until it leaks, so a free inspection with photos gives them a reason to call before that. Tallowbark sends the photo report the same day, which also gives the roofer a natural reason to follow up with a restoration quote.
Do I need to show a licence or registration number for roofing in Victoria?
Check with the Victorian Building and Plumbing Commission for your exact work. Roof plumbing, including flashings, valleys, gutters and downpipes, is regulated plumbing work that needs a registered or licensed plumber, and printing the number builds trust. This flyer shows a fictional registration in the format BPC 107345 on the checklist and services designs.
How do I show before and after photos without them looking staged?
Use the same roof from the same angle, shot on the first and last day of the job, and say so. The before and after design here labels the pair "Same roof, five days apart". Upload JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 10 MB; each photo is cropped to fill its frame and centred, so frame the roof in the middle of the shot.
Is a restoration price on a flyer a promise I have to honour?
A printed price is a representation, so make the conditions part of the price. This flyer says "from $4,900" and defines it: single storey, tiled, up to 180 square metres, GST included. Anything outside that is quoted after the inspection. A "from" price without the conditions is the kind that leads to complaints.
Which of these roofing designs works on Instagram?
The before and after design, because two photos and one price read at phone size. All three designs exist natively as an Instagram post at 1080 by 1080 and as a story at 1080 by 1920, so switching size swaps in a layout made for that shape. Style changes are stored per size, so recolour the Instagram version separately if needed.

House painter flyer with interior and exterior prices
A house painter flyer is read by someone who has been putting the job off, so it has to make the price and the disruption feel smaller than they expected. These three designs for Wattlecoat Painting, a fictional five painter crew on the Sunshine Coast, lead with a three bedroom interior from $3,200 and explain how the booking runs.
Cabinet maker flyer for kitchens and wardrobes in Launceston
A cabinet maker flyer works when it turns "custom kitchen" into a number, a lead time and a finish someone can picture. These three designs for Huonwright Cabinets, a fictional Launceston workshop, print kitchens from $14,000 installed, a six week lead time and the three door finishes on offer, so a reader can decide whether to visit the showroom before they ring.
Garage door flyer for motor installs, repairs and new doors
A garage door flyer has two jobs: sell the upgrade people have been putting off, and be the number on the fridge when a spring snaps at night. These three designs for Liftlark Garage Doors, a fictional business in Newcastle NSW, lead with "Automate your door for $549" and keep the 24 hour breakdown line and the NSW licence number in view.
