Quillmoor Agency for Bellcroft Home
Marketing agency pitch deck for a new client
A marketing agency pitch deck has to prove it understands the client's customer better than the last agency did, that it has moved the same numbers for someone similar, and that the first 90 days are planned rather than promised. Quillmoor Agency, an invented agency, pitches Bellcroft Home, an invented 14 store homewares retailer, with a persona, two case studies whose returns can be checked, a day 90 scorecard and two ways to buy.
Every slide, in order
The whole deck as it renders, one slide after another. Read it the way the audience would.
The structure
What each slide is doing, so you can reuse the order even with different content.
- Slide 1cover
- Names the agency, the prospect and the outcome the pitch is about, so the room knows this deck was written for them.
- Slide 2intro
- Plays the brief back in the client's own terms, so they hear their problem before they hear the agency.
- Slide 3persona
- Shows the agency understands the retailer's customer, because every later choice of channel and message follows from her.
- Slide 4metrics
- Case study one: a campaign for a similar retailer with the spend, revenue and return shown together, so the return can be checked.
- Slide 5metrics
- Case study two: a second campaign with a lower return, shown honestly, so the first result does not read as a one off.
- Slide 6process
- The 90 day plan in three phases, so the client sees what happens in the first month before any big spend.
- Slide 7comparison
- Today against the day 90 targets on six measures, so success is defined before the contract is signed.
- Slide 8pricing
- Two ways to work together, a retainer and a fixed project, so the client can choose the commitment rather than haggle over one price.
- Slide 9profile
- Names everyone who would work on the account, so the client knows the pitch team is the delivery team.
- Slide 10closing
- Ends on one next step with a date, because a new business pitch that closes on thanks waits weeks for a reply.
Slide by slide
Slide one names the agency, the client and the outcome. Slide two plays the brief back: 14 stores, 1.9 million dollars a year online, a 2.2 return on paid social and a spring range in September. Slide three is the customer persona. Slides four and five are the two case studies. Slide six is the 90 day plan in three phases: measure, test, scale. Slide seven is the scorecard of today against day 90. Slide eight offers a 48,000 dollar project or a 14,500 dollar monthly retainer. Slide nine names all seventeen people on the account. Slide ten asks for a signature by 30 July so tracking is live before the range lands.
How the numbers hold together
The retailer sells 1.9 million dollars a year online, which is the 158,000 dollars a month on slide seven. The target of 205,000 a month is 30 percent higher, and the click and collect target of 900 orders is 48 percent above 610. Return on ad spend in both case studies is tracked sales divided by media spend, the same definition the scorecard uses, so the 3.5 target can be compared with the 4.1 and 3.6 already achieved. Fees on slide eight exclude media, which the client pays to the platforms directly, so the return figures are never flattered by hiding agency fees inside the spend.
How to adapt this deck
A creative agency pitching a brand campaign rather than performance media should swap the scorecard for brand measures the client already tracks, such as prompted awareness or search volume for the brand name, and say how each will be measured before and after. An agency without a close case study should show a smaller test it ran on its own budget and be plain about the scale. An agency pitching against incumbents should add a short slide on what it would keep from the current work, which tells the client the pitch is about results rather than replacing everything.
What clients and pitch guidance ask for
The Good Pitch, the guidance the IPA and ISBA publish for UK agencies and advertisers, sets out principles for a fair pitch: a standard information template from the client, a properly defined scope of work, discovery meetings before the pitch, clarity on pricing and contract, and honesty about how the pitch is judged. Their joint guide to agency search and selection covers the same ground from the client side. In practice a marketing director wants to hear their problem played back, see results for a similar business, know who will actually do the work and see what happens in the first month. Slides two, four, five, six and nine answer each of those in turn.
What makes this deck work
The customer comes before the agency
Slide three is an empathy map of Dana, the retailer's buyer, who saves posts for weeks and then uses click and collect on a Saturday. Every later choice in the deck, from stock by store in each ad to the email series, follows from that one slide.
Both case studies can be checked
Slide four shows 120,000 dollars of media returning 492,000 dollars, a 4.1 return. Slide five shows 85,000 returning 306,000, a 3.6 return, and says why it was lower. Showing the weaker result is what makes the stronger one believable.
Success is defined before signing
Slide seven sets six day 90 targets against today's numbers, from a 2.2 return on ad spend to 3.5 and from 610 click and collect orders a month to 900. The retainer on slide eight is then reviewed against a scorecard both sides agreed in the pitch.
Questions people ask
What should a marketing agency pitch deck include?
The client's brief played back, their customer, one or two case studies with spend and results, a plan for the first 90 days, the measures you will be judged on, the fees and the people who will do the work. This example covers each of those in ten slides.
How many case studies should an agency pitch show?
Two is usually right: one strong result and one that shows a different situation, explained honestly. More than three turns the pitch into a credentials deck. Pick work for a business similar in size and customer to the prospect, and show spend and results together.
Should an agency put its fees in the pitch deck?
Yes, once the client has shared a budget. Offering two structures, such as a fixed project and a retainer, lets the client choose the level of commitment. State what the fee excludes, especially media spend, so the numbers can be compared fairly with other agencies.
Is a persona slide worth including in a pitch?
It is often the slide clients remember, because it shows the agency has done the work before being paid. Base it on the client's own data, such as a customer survey or order history, and say so on the slide, rather than inventing a customer from general research.
How do I show the team without photos?
A role and name grid works well and keeps the focus on who does what. This deck uses a lead plus sixteen named roles. Add a footnote linking the team to the case studies, so the client knows the people who got those results would work on their account.
Can I tailor this deck to each prospect quickly?
Describe the new client in the generator prompt and the deck is rebuilt with their brief and numbers, which you then check and edit. The AI assistant can rewrite one slide or swap a layout, and every change appears as a preview you accept or discard.

Solar sales presentation with the payback shown honestly
A solar sales presentation has to prove the payback to a household that has heard inflated claims before: the bill today, the bill after, the system that bridges them and the arithmetic in between. Solvenna Solar, an invented Brisbane installer, proposes a 6.6 kW system in nine slides where every saving is traced to kilowatt hours and every dollar of the quote is listed.
Influencer media kit: audience, rates and past work
An influencer media kit has to tell a brand manager three things quickly: who actually watches, what a post or reel costs and what it includes, and what happened for brands that booked before. Juniper Vossel, an invented home cooking creator with 212,000 followers, sets that out in eight slides, from the audience by age to three past campaigns with their results.
Landscaping proposal presentation with a planting plan
A landscaping proposal presentation has to help a family picture the finished garden, show exactly what will be planted, and set out what it costs and how long the yard will be a building site. Fernmoss Landscapes, an invented Australian landscaper, proposes a 154 square metre rear garden for the Whitfield family, an invented client, in nine slides from concept plan to first year of care.
