Sales decks by industry: presentation examples for proposals, bids and renewals

A sales deck is read by someone deciding whether to pay, so it has to show what they get, what it costs and why this supplier. Each deck here is a finished set of eight to eleven slides for one invented business selling to one buyer, with the prices and quantities worked through on the slides.

Proposals, bids and sales decks

The decks fall into three groups. Proposals answer a brief the buyer has already written: the consulting proposal costs three workstreams from team days, the catering proposal prices three menus per head for a 180 guest wedding, the architecture and landscaping proposals cost each stage. Bids compete against other suppliers on method, time and price, as the construction bid does with a 34 week Gantt and a price by trade package. Sales decks open the conversation: the commercial cleaning deck sets out a weekly schedule by floor and one monthly price, the solar deck shows bills before and after and a payback in years, the managed IT deck compares per seat tiers with the cost of hiring in house.

Selling to a customer you already have

Three decks are for existing relationships. The SaaS renewal deck puts the value delivered in dollars before the renewal price. The upsell deck starts from usage hitting the plan cap and shows the saving per project on the bigger plan. The influencer media kit sells reach to brands with followers by platform, engagement and rates. The real estate listing presentation and the insurance broker presentation sell advice rather than a product, so they lead with comparable sales or a side by side of three insurers.

Choosing and adapting one

Start from what your buyer is deciding, not from your industry: a renewal deck for software and one for a cleaning contract ask the same question. Eight of the eighteen are Australian. Every company and client is invented, and the arithmetic reconciles from slide to slide. A deck like these can be generated from a prompt, edited slide by slide, shared as a read only link and exported as a PDF or a PowerPoint file.

Describe your deck instead

Tell the generator your topic and audience and it writes and designs the whole deck, which you can then restyle, edit and export to PowerPoint or PDF.

Build a presentation

Step by step in the builder: send the deck as a link, then export it as a PDF or PowerPoint. For everything the generator can do, see the presentation maker.
