Pitch deck examples by industry
Investors in each industry look for one number before they read anything else, and a good pitch deck puts that number where they look first. Each deck here is a finished set of ten or eleven slides for an invented company, with every figure checked against the others.

The number each industry is judged on
The industry decides which slide carries the weight. The biotech deck leads with its trial plan and runway, because the money has to last to the readout. The insurtech deck puts the loss ratio up front. The consumer app deck shows every monthly retention cohort, including the bad one. The food and beverage deck shows sales velocity per store, the fashion deck sell through per drop, the EV charging deck utilisation by site type, and the robotics deck payback per robot. The cybersecurity deck leads with the time it takes to contain an incident at night. A deck from another industry gives you the shape but not the slide an investor in your field will turn to first.
Numbers that hold across slides
The commonest fault in a real pitch deck is a number that changes between slides: revenue on the traction slide that does not match the chart, or a use of funds that does not add to the raise. In every deck here the totals reconcile, so customers times price equals the revenue shown, the waterfall steps sum to the margin, and the ask splits into parts that add back to it. Each page sets out the arithmetic. Charts carry a legend wherever the layout allows one; a waterfall names each bar on its axis instead. No slide prints sources, so a claim about a market is written as the company's own estimate or survey.
Choosing and adapting one
Pick the industry closest to yours, then keep the order of the argument and replace the company. Nine of the decks are Australian and price in Australian dollars. Every company, founder and figure is invented, and names were checked against real businesses. A deck like these can be generated from a prompt, edited slide by slide and exported as a PDF or a PowerPoint file.

- A spacetech pitch deck with a launch timeline
A spacetech pitch deck has to prove that customers will pay for the data before the hardware is in orbit, and that the launch dates are fixed rather than hoped for. Orbitfarm, an invented earth observation company for cropping, does both with 2.2 million dollars of signed data contracts and a five date timeline.
- Agtech pitch deck example with numbers that reconcile
An agtech investor has been shown a water saving before and has learned to ask what it was measured against. Furrow Sense is invented, and every number in its ten slides ties back to one of three things: farms, hectares or the fee per hectare.
- AI startup pitch deck example with the inference cost shown
An investor looking at an AI company in 2027 has one question the pitch has to answer without being asked, which is what a model call costs and who pays for the humans behind it. Kerbtally is invented, and its eleven slides put inference on its own bar and count the review team inside gross margin.
- Beauty brand pitch deck example for a skincare line
A beauty investor has seen a hundred serums in a nice bottle and is looking for the one thing that is expensive to copy. Selvane is invented, and its ten slides put a registered clinical trial at the centre and cost it at 90 cents a bottle so the claim can be checked.
- Biotech pitch deck example, pipeline to runway
A life sciences investor decides on three things before they decide on the science: which asset is funded, what the data actually showed, and how long the money lasts. Quillara Therapeutics is invented, and its eleven slides answer those three in that order rather than opening on a market size.
- Construction tech pitch deck measured in defects per site
A construction tech pitch deck has to prove the software changes what happens on site, because builders do not pay for apps, they pay to avoid rework. Sitewell, an invented Brisbane inspection product, shows rework items per site falling 34 percent over eight months while logged defects more than double.
- Consumer app pitch deck example with retention cohorts in full
A consumer investor assumes a retention chart has been curated until the bad cohort is on it. Wakelorn is invented, and its ten slides show every monthly cohort including the paid install month that went backwards, because leaving it out would flatter the average.
- Creator platform pitch deck with payouts and take rate first
A creator platform is judged on what the creators were paid, and any deck that reports its own revenue first has answered a different question. Encorefold is invented, and its ten slides open on 6.4 million dollars paid to musicians and treat the 8 percent as a consequence of it.
- Cybersecurity pitch deck example with response time and ARR
A security buyer tests one claim and ignores the rest, and that claim is how long it takes somebody to act at three in the morning. Bastionway is invented, and its eleven slides put a 4.1 minute median on the cover and then cost the alternative line by line.
- DTC brand pitch deck example with CAC, LTV and repeat rate
A consumer brand investor works out in about ninety seconds whether the second order exists, and everything after that is detail. Saltbrook is invented, and its ten slides put a 41 percent repeat rate on the cover and then show the margin the retail plan is about to spend.
- EV charging pitch deck with utilisation broken out by site
A charging investor is buying one thing repeated a thousand times, so the only question that matters is what a single post earns and how long it took to get power to it. Ampline is invented, and its ten slides answer both with a per post waterfall and a council approval chart.
- Fashion brand pitch deck example built on sell through
An apparel investor has one question and it is not about the brand, it is about the stock that did not sell. Harrow Drill Co is invented, and its ten slides answer with sell through by drop, an unbroken 58 percent margin and no discount cycle to explain away.
- Fitness app pitch deck example with a churn curve
Every fitness app deck claims engagement, and every fitness investor has learned to ask for churn by cohort month instead. Liftwright is invented, and it puts 6 percent on the cover and then plots three cohorts so the effect of each retention feature can be seen separately.
- Food and beverage pitch deck built on velocity by store
A grocery investor and a category manager are asking the same question in different words, which is how many units leave the shelf each week. Fizzroot is invented, and its eleven slides are built on that number, broken out by retailer and then taken apart into cents per can.
- Foodtech pitch deck example for an alternative protein
An alternative protein pitch deck has to prove that cost per kilogram falls far enough with scale to reach the price of the meat it replaces. Hyphalia Foods, an invented fungal protein maker, shows 18 dollars a kilogram at its pilot plant, 10.60 at the plant this round builds and the cost lines that move between the two.
- Gaming studio pitch deck for a publisher meeting
A publisher is not buying a game idea, they are buying a team that finishes on time and an advance they can get back. Tidelamp Studio is invented, and its ten slides lead on wishlists, prove delivery with two shipped titles and end on a recoup schedule rather than a valuation.
- HRtech pitch deck example built around retention numbers
An HR software buyer is measured on one number every quarter, and a deck that does not move it is a deck about features. Tenure is invented, and its eleven slides are organised around 90 day attrition, with the buyer described before any of the metrics appear.
- Insurtech pitch deck example with the loss ratio on the cover
An insurance investor reads loss ratio before anything else, and a deck that buries it has already told them something. Parcelsure is invented, and it puts 61 percent on the cover and then spends a waterfall slide showing what is left after claims are paid.
- Legaltech pitch deck example for a contract review tool
A legaltech buyer and a legaltech investor both start from the same suspicion, which is that the time saving came from a demo rather than from a firm. Redlark is invented, and its ten slides attach the 92 percent claim to a named pilot and never repeat it without the qualifier.
- Logistics startup pitch deck built on cost per delivery
A fleet buyer and a logistics investor will both accept exactly one number, and it is the cost of one drop. Routeworks is invented, and its eleven slides carry that number from the cover to the ask, proved on one matched Tuesday rather than on a demo.
- Medical device pitch deck, clearance path and unit economics
A device investor is buying two things at once: a regulatory calendar and a manufacturing cost. Cardia Loop is invented, and its ten slides put the 510(k) dates and the cost of one patch on their own slides rather than leaving either to the appendix.
- Pet startup pitch deck built around one household
A pet startup pitch deck has to prove that one household pays more each month than it costs to feed, deliver to and replace when it leaves. This example does it for Pawcel, an invented Sydney fresh dog food subscription, with 14,000 households at 88 dollars a month and every cost line shown.
- Proptech pitch deck example for a rental platform
A proptech investor wants to know whether the saving is real and whether the sale repeats. Tenvale is invented, and its eleven slides prove the first with a paired study on the same properties and the second with a monthly line of active agencies.
- Robotics pitch deck example with the payback per robot
A robotics pitch deck has to prove that each robot earns back what it costs to build, because hardware investors fund fleets, not demos. Palletix, an invented warehouse picking robot rented by the month, shows 62 robots on contract and a 14 month payback built from four lines in a table.
- Sports tech pitch deck for a grassroots club product
A sports tech pitch deck has to prove that the buyer can actually pay, and in grassroots sport the buyer is a volunteer committee, not a professional team. Sprintlab, an invented GPS vest company in Newcastle, shows 380 clubs paying per season and reconciles them to 1.4 million dollars of annual recurring revenue.
- Travel startup pitch deck with take rate and seasonality shown
Every travel investor tests the same thing, which is what happens in February. Wayfold is invented, and its eleven slides put two years of monthly bookings on one axis and then spend a whole slide on how the trough gets paid for.
- Wellness marketplace pitch deck with liquidity on both sides
A wellness marketplace pitch deck has to prove liquidity: that clients find a practitioner fast and practitioners fill their hours, in the same cities at the same time. Hushlane, an invented therapist booking marketplace, shows 71,000 sessions in a year, a two day wait to a first session and hours filled city by city.
