Copywriting quote
Copywriting quote for website copy, priced per page
A copywriting quote should price each page or piece separately, say how many rounds of changes are included, and state who owns the words. This example from a Canberra copywriter quotes a small architecture practice's website at $4,390 plus GST, with case studies priced per project so the practice can decide how many to publish.

Why per page pricing suits copywriting
Clients find copywriting hard to price because they cannot see the effort in a few hundred words. Pricing by page solves it. Each page has a different job and a different weight: the home page has to say the most in the fewest words, a service page has to answer one kind of client, a case study has to tell a story with a result. This quote prices each one, which lets the practice understand where the money goes and adjust the scope itself. It also writes to the designs already supplied, which keeps the copywriter from guessing at lengths and the designer from cutting words to fit.
How the price is built
The interview is $450, the home page $650, four service pages $1,520, the about page $420 and three case studies $1,350: $4,390 before GST, $4,829 with it. The practice can choose one to eight case studies, so the subtotal ranges from $3,490 to $6,640. Meta titles and descriptions for ten pages at $25 each, $250, and a two page voice guide at $550 are optional and marked as suggestions. The 50% deposit is invoiced on acceptance and books the interview; the balance follows delivery of the final copy.
How to adapt this quote
Price your pages by the work each takes, not by word count, and list them by name so the client can check nothing is missing. Say whether you are writing to an existing design or creating the structure too, since that changes the work a lot. Include an interview or discovery step on its own line. Put the number of change rounds in the terms and a rate for more. If you write case studies about the client's customers, make the client responsible for getting their permission, as the note here does. Search descriptions are a useful option: Google may show them in results, though it can also write its own.
What makes this quote work
Every page has a price
The home page is $650, each of four service pages $380 and the about page $420. When the client wants to cut a page or add one, the change to the total is obvious, and nobody has to renegotiate a lump sum.
Case studies are the client's call
Case studies are $450 each with three as the default and an editable range of one to eight. Architecture practices are judged on their projects, and this lets the client choose how many to publish before accepting.
The interview is paid work
A $450 discovery interview with both directors is its own line. It is where a copywriter finds what makes the practice different, and pricing it shows the client that the words will come from them, not from a template.
Questions people ask
What should a copywriting quote include?
Each page or piece with its own price, a discovery or interview step, what the copy is written to, the number of change rounds and the rate for more, delivery format, ownership of the words, payment terms and validity. This example covers each on three A4 pages for an architecture practice website.
How much does website copywriting cost?
It depends on the pages and the depth of research. This example prices a home page at $650, service pages at $380, an about page at $420 and case studies at $450, with a $450 interview, so a nine page site with three case studies is $4,390 before GST.
Should copywriters charge per page or per word?
Per page or per piece usually reflects the work better, because a short home page can take longer than a long article. This quote prices by page and by case study, which also lets the client add or remove pages and see the total change at once.
Who owns the copy a copywriter writes?
Put it in the quote. Here the copy belongs to the client on payment and may be used anywhere. Without a clause, copyright in the words stays with the writer by default, which can cause trouble when the client wants to reuse them in a brochure or a tender.
Are meta descriptions worth including in a website copy quote?
They are a cheap, useful option. This quote offers search titles and descriptions for ten pages at $25 each. Google may show the description under the title in results, though it sometimes writes its own from the page, so they help most when they summarise the page accurately.

Videography quote for a brand film and social cut downs
A videography quote should break the job into planning, filming and editing, say what files the client receives and how they may use them, and price extras separately. This example from an Adelaide production company quotes a two minute bakery film and three social cut downs at $6,370 plus GST, with drone footage and captions as options.
Electrical quote example for a switchboard upgrade
An electrical quote should name the work, price parts and labour by line, and say what certificate the customer receives. This example from a Geelong electrician replaces a ceramic fuse board with a new switchboard and eight safety switches for $2,820 including GST, with LED downlights and interconnected smoke alarms as options.
Graphic design quote for a brand identity and can labels
A graphic design quote should list each design deliverable, say how many concepts and rounds of changes are included, and state when copyright passes to the client. This example from a Perth studio quotes a logo, brand guidelines and three can labels for a small brewery at $6,150 plus GST, with labels priced per design.
