Three flyers for the Brookvale Primary P&C Spring Fair, each aimed at a different reader. The first goes home in the school bag with the date, 10am to 3pm on the oval, free entry, a $25 ride pass and six timed events. The second is the printed program handed out at the gate, thirteen rows of time, what and where. The third goes to stall holders, who have to apply by 2 October, with sites from $45 and the insurance and food registration a stall needs.

What makes these work
A real schedule, not a vibe
Parents plan the day around the choir at 10.30 and the staff versus parents netball at 1.30. Printing times against events is what turns a flyer into an itinerary. The bag flyer carries six rows and the program thirteen, each with a place, and the two never disagree on a time. The program even admits which one will slip: the netball starts when the sausage sizzle queue clears.
The cause is stated plainly
One line saying every dollar goes to the library does more for turnout than any amount of exclamation marks. The stall holder flyer is plain in a different way, spelling out the $20 million public liability cover and the council food registration a food stall needs, because those are the two things a council or organiser will ask for and printing them saves the P&C forty phone calls.
Bright without being childish
The palette is cheerful enough for a fair but still reads as coming from the school, not from a party supplies shop. The bag flyer uses one bright block behind the date, the program is a plain table with a coloured header, and the stall holder call is the most restrained because it is talking to businesses. No photo shows a recognisable child, which keeps the flyers clear of the consent a school needs to publish a student.

Can the running order be a table?

The lineup poster goes up around the neighbourhood with the date, doors at 8pm and the 18+ line. The date poster goes behind the bar and lists the three acts against their set times, 8.30, 9.40 and 10.45.
