Mutual NDA
A robotics company and a British parts maker want to look inside each other before agreeing to anything. Both sides are handing over trade secrets, which is the only real reason to make an NDA mutual.

One way NDA
A health company has to show a design studio an unreleased app, its employer pricing and its patient research. The studio is showing nothing back, which is exactly when an agreement should run in one direction.

Overdue payment notice
A plumbing business is owed $4,763 across three invoices, the oldest sixty six days past due. This is the last letter before the debt leaves the business, and it is written to be acted on rather than to sound threatening.

Partnership agreement template
Three physiotherapists have run one Newcastle practice together since 2024 without anything in writing. This agreement records what the handshake never covered: uneven capital sitting beside uneven hours, the six decisions no partner can make alone, and what a leaving partner is owed.

Payment receipt
A bike workshop hands this over with the bike. It records money already taken rather than money owed, and it is the piece of paper the customer needs again if a fitted part fails.

Payment schedule
A $184,800 fit out is paid in six milestones, and every one of them is a piece of work rather than a date. The running balance column is the part both sides check, because it falls to zero only when the handover pack changes hands.

Payslip
One fortnight for a cafe supervisor paid by the hour, with weekend rates, a union deduction and a salary sacrifice. Half of a payslip is legally required; the other half is what stops the questions.

Pricing sheet
Three plans, priced per seat, where annual billing is ten months for twelve months of service on every tier. Twelve people on Growth is $6,480 a year before tax, and the sheet shows the working rather than a percentage.

Proforma invoice
A container of rattan furniture quoted from Melbourne to Singapore, written so the buyer can open a letter of credit and lodge an advance customs entry before anything is loaded.

Project status report
Month four of the Kingsway Street office fit out. The report opens Amber, nine days behind and 61 per cent complete, with a forecast cost of $2.41M against a $2.35M budget, and the first sentence names the cause: asbestos sheeting found behind walls during demolition. Five pages carry progress by work package, a budget table, a spend chart, five risks and three decisions the sponsor has to make.

Promissory note template
A timber company owes $45,000 to a private lender and needs one page that says so. No conditions precedent, no covenants, no security. Only the maker signs, which is what keeps a note short and what lets the holder pass it on to somebody else.

Purchase order
A civil contractor buys structural steel for a job that starts in three weeks. The order is written by the buyer, not the seller, and almost everything on it exists to stop a surprise arriving on the truck.

Quotation
Copperfield Bathrooms quotes Alana Reid $34,780 including GST for a full bathroom renovation at 14 Selwyn Street, Hawthorn. Eight trades are priced as separate lines, the tiles are a provisional sum, the job runs four weeks from 5 October, and the payment schedule takes 10 per cent on acceptance, 50 per cent when tiling is done and 40 per cent at practical completion.

Rate card
A studio publishes what each role costs by hour, by day and by booked week, then explains the arithmetic between them. A day is seven billable hours inside a seven and a half hour day, and a booked week is ten per cent off five of those.

Remittance advice
One transfer covers five invoices, a credit note and a settlement discount, which is why the payment matches no invoice on the supplier's ledger. The advice exists so the supplier can apply it in the right order rather than oldest first.

Service agreement
Beacon Systems supports Harlow Freight’s IT for an initial 24 months from 1 October 2026 at $8,400 a month plus GST, with 40 hours included and $220 an hour beyond them. Twelve numbered clauses cover the services, a four level severity table, client duties, fees with a CPI adjustment, confidentiality, privacy, IP, a liability cap, termination and a three step dispute ladder.

Shareholders agreement template
A veterinary diagnostics company has just taken $1.5 million from one seed fund. The founders keep 80 percent between them, so the whole agreement turns on a single number: the 75 percent consent threshold that puts the investor on one side of every decision that matters.

Statement of account
A packaging supplier sends this to a grocer on the last day of the month. It settles nothing on its own; it exists so two ledgers can be made to agree before anybody chases anybody.

Statement of work
Ardent Analytics migrates Coastline Insurance’s claims database to a cloud platform over 18 weeks under SOW-2026-041, governed by a master services agreement dated 3 March 2026. The work is time and materials with four roles priced by the day and a $412,000 estimate before GST, five dated deliverables, ten business days to accept each one, and five assumptions written down before anyone starts.

Tax invoice
Lantern Creative bills Meridian Property Partners $19,437 for six branding and website lines. Both ABNs are printed, the buyer’s purchase order PO-8842 is quoted, and the due date is 14 days after issue. Everything an accounts payable team checks before paying sits in one block above the table, and the bank details sit under it.

Vehicle sale agreement template
A dual cab ute is changing hands between two people on the Central Coast for $28,500. No dealer, so no statutory warranty and no guarantee of clear title. What the buyer gets instead is five written warranties, a register certificate number, and a mechanic's report obtained before the balance moves.

Weekly timesheet
An electrician records a week across two jobs and a Saturday callout. The same 46.50 hours are counted twice, once for the pay run and once for the customers, and the sheet only works if both agree.

Wholesale price list
A bakehouse sells to cafes, so the price that matters is the pack price, not the unit price. This list shows both for seventeen products, then the four things that decide what a cafe actually pays: volume, zone, cut off and terms.
